Just got a call on my land line.   Did not answer and the voice mail was some "to lower your electric bill" BS

Second call within one hour and left no message

Indian-sounding fellow who knew my name wanted to lower my electric bill. Didn't believe it for a second. Blocked the number.

I’ve been getting this call to reduce electric rates by 20%. Caller has foreign accent. Advice, hang up and block number

No answer when I picked up.

Did not answer and typically I will not answer any scam calls. But they left no message. I'm glad I didn't answer seeing above posts. I know the latest trick for scammer is using a phone number with an area code from the same location as mine. Seeing the same area code from my hometown, I've answered a few of these. But.... I say hello and no one is on the line, and it goes dead? Not sure what's going on there. Now, even if the area code is familiar I don't answer and let it go to voicemail. If it's legit, I figure they'll leave a message.

Power company, SCAMMERS. Save money...Right, they mean, pay higher electric bills...smh
