Why do these people call and then no ones there?  It must be one of those automated phone solicitors that wait for a human to answer!  Annoying!!

My post is quite lengthy, I apologize in advance for any crude language.

I received the call today and first missed it.  SInce I have a friend with a similar number, I called it back.
Upon doing so, I heard the following:
Thank you for calling WN positions.  While you were online, you indicated interest in one of our jobs.  Press 1 to talk to someone, or 9 to remove yourself from our call list.
First time, I did not here all of that.  SInce I have been filling out many things online, both personal and job-related, I pressed 1.  A man named Chris answered and said: Thank you for calling the employment group. He informed me that his job was that of a head-hunter.  Sir, we ask you some questions, then fit your skills for various jobs.  Major companies have us screen potential applicants.  Unfortunately, some may fall for this since, there are legitimate services that act as a matching service.  Some are used to help potential employers eliminate people that would not normally be a good fit.
My response:
Sir, let me just reiterate.  You are part of an agency that pre-screens applicants?  In other words, you have been asked to act as a lead generator for major companies?  Then he began to talk and say:
yes, then hung up.
The next time I called, I went to remove my number.  I received a message that, they system's records were updated and my number was removed.
I placed one more call, telling this individual to loose my number, he was a scam, representing a fake company.
Between 5 and 5:07 PM, I received a call on my phone.  THe interesting thing was that, it showed up as a missed call, my phone never rang.
I called it back, and when Criss answered, I gave him hell again.
Yo, you serious?  I told you before, to loose my number.  It's on! mother-[***] it's on!
I just tried calling it to here the name of the fake company (blocked my number), and was hung-up on twice.
I wonder what the questions are that they ask, and what the scam they are pulling on people who may actually not give the call a second thought.

I am not sure what the story is behind this alleged company. In my case I was filling out an application for McDoanlds. When I sent the application, I was given a series of questions or what I guess was a survey. I have filled out similar forms before. But these questions were different. I thought nothing of it and continued.
About 2 hours later, my phone rings and the guy said something about a survey & employment. I thought of McDonald's.  He went on to explain they offer a free service to help people find work & that I just needed to answer a couple of questions to complete the process (something like that). This raised a red flag & I told him "No" and hung up. The next day I get another call from the same number and I don't recall if I answered. But I called the number and chose to have my number removed and so far they haven't called. But I am not getting my hopes up.

Got the call on Saturday telling me I filled out a survey about a job. My cell is on the do not call list. And I did not do any survey.

Got a call today saying that I applied for a job and gave them this number.  One, not currently looking for a job, like the job I have right now.  Two, the number they called is the cell phone my current job gave me.  I would never give that out as a call back number if I was looking for a job.  So yeah this place is definitely feels like some type of scam.

Called my cell on 3/30/13. No message left. If they were asking about employment, it's a scam. I'm gainfully employed and have never in my life filled out a employment application.
