- Freedom replies to mae1143It's not ok to try and collect in a fashion that is past statute, BUT it's also NOT OK to not pay an obligation. I am sure you would agree that there are unethical people in every industry. Why are you lumping bad behavior on everyone? You must think it is ok to not pay an obligation?
- Freedom replies to MikeFor years and I am very proud of how we assist people in getting back on track.
- love to play games with these people| 5 repliesI keep receiving calls on my phone [which I've had for 28 years] for a person named Ann. I do not know Ann. Ann does not live here. I am not Ann. The only Ann I know lived in New Mexico and is dead......I have told these people to stop calling me. Obviously "Ann" gave them the wrong number or someone transposed numbers resulting in my home phone being connected to Ann. Even after I stress to them that they will never reach Ann at this number they ask if I have a number for her.......they are not playing with a full deck.....
And Freedom; my attorney is a partner with Polcinelli, a very large law firm in St. Louis. They have handled many business transactions for me and this type of harassment is grounds for suit. All I have to do is have my attorney send them a letter via certified mail return receipt. If they contact me after the date of the CMRR I have grounds for a harassment suit..They can tag my suit award to their clients bill.- Caller: Day Knight
- all i have to say| 3 repliesAll have to say is that if they call me before 7 am again and keep blowing my phone up with calls they are in for a rude awaking and they do call past 8pm which is illegal, asked my lawyer...

- Freedom replies to all i have to say| 1 replyNo calls before 8am and actually most calls are made after 9am, so your claim of calls before 7am is fictitious. We don't call multiple times a day, in fact, not even every day and for most only once a week unless someone has asked for us to call, so this statement is simply wrong and inflamatory. Why would we want to upset the very people we are wanting to work with?
- Freedom replies to love to play games with these people| 4 repliesWe don't employ an Ann. I am afraid you are confusing your collection companies.
- Freedom replies to all i have to sayWe do not dial during those hours. PERIOD. I know having an account in collections is unpleasant. It is just as unpleasant for the people who are not being paid. Our company remains professional and courteous out of respect for all parties involved.
- schmoo44 replies to Freedom| 1 replyi believe he sasy they call asking for an ANN not that ANN id calling him?? maybe you should pay better attention to the statements instead of trying to defend your employer who obvioyusly isn't as scrupulous as you claim or there wouldn't be these posts now would there??
- schmoo44| 1 replythis number keeps showing up on my cell and they don't leave a message or anything... @Freedom if you are so scrupulous and pleasent as you claim you and your co workers are then have the courage, decency etc to at least say who is calling and why...

- fedup!| 14 repliesI agree fully, some people like myself can't always answer calls due to working, mtgs etc ....if you would be man/woman enough, you would give people the respect of leaving a message so we can try to get back with you.
- annoying| 1 replyWhy don't they leave a message? I do not answer unknown phone calls and I have had people calling my phone looking for other people. I know they're doing a job or whatever but LEAVE A MESSAGE SO I KNOW WHO AND WHAT THE HELL IS CALLING?!?!?! Your job would be easier if they knew how to communicate.
- Really? replies to Freedom| 1 replyShe said they were calling FOR an Ann, not that Ann was the employee. Maybe you should actually pay attention.

Does DKA have the authority to negotiate a balance? If so, how does that appear on a credit rating? Is it a paid bill or partial pay with "write off " ? Which I've heard actually hurts your credit.
I thought since you work for them you may be able to help understand that.- Caller: Day Knight Associates

- Freedom replies to annoyingI appreciate that messages would be much more efficient, and it would make our jobs easier, most definitely. - Freedom replies to HealerRN| 2 repliesI appreciate your question. Generally, a collection agency only has the authority to negotiate with the authorization from the client. Agencies assist many companies so this ability may vary from client to client based on the terms of the agreement and amount of loss incurred by the unpaid balance. I encourage you to most definitely ask because it may very well be possible. With regard to the credit bureau, you should ask the agency you are working with as to how it will reflect on your report based on their reporting procedures. Thank you so much for your civil question... best of luck with resolving your outstanding balance.
- Freedom replies to Really? My goodness. Yes, I do see in the initial statement that they were calling FOR Ann now. It is possible, but we can't be certain without specifics, that Ann had multiple balances which lent to one call placed on each new account. I have actually had this occur after receiving a new phone number as well. When this occurs an agency always appreciates when someone lets them know it is a wrong number because it helps save time for everyone. The number is then removed immediately. In our office we assist people every day that are dealing with an oversight or dilemma of some sort. We appreciate that no one is perfect and there are scenarios that require patience and assistance.
- Xhannibal Collector replies to Freedom| 1 replyI think Freedom is hillarious with responses and treating this site as if it is PR for the company...must be an owner, not an employee
