I just got a call from this number and let it go to voicemail.  She says this is my final notice for a stimulus program.  I won't try calling back because I already see from so many of these comments that it would be worthless.  I get calls quite a bit from different numbers and don't answer them unless I know the caller.  After awhile they will stop for a couple of months and then start the cycle again.  I am, like many others, on the Do Not Call list - what a joke

Received a call from this number this afternoon.  Pressed one to "talk to someone about lowering my credit card rate".   When someone finally answered after 10 rings I told them to take me off their calling list.   She said, "We can do that and hung up on me!"    Will see if I get anymore calls from them.

just had the same massege today. if it shows up unavailable i don't answer it.

I just looked elsewhere. 642 is purported to be an area code for either Galveson or Mineapolis. OR, it's the country code for Slovakia--Bratislava !  All these nuisance numbers drive me crazy ! All they have is their alleged number,then I look them up when I remember to. I might go to the FTC or FCC and see what,if anything,they can do about this. Free speech is one thing. Nuisance calls trying to get your identity,or whatever, is FLAT WRONG !

Also received a call tody while I was outside from the 320 area code. St Cloud. Tentmakers. Evidentkly,a religious organization. GO AWAY--ALL OF YOU !  AAAGH !

Have received roughly a call per week from this number.   Their taped message refers to them as a  "credit card service to help lower your credit card interest rate".  When you press to speak with a customer care representative,  the alleged  CCR is reluctant to provide any information as to complete name of company,  physical location and call back number.

I get these calls every week or so and I am also on all DO NOT CALL lists!!!  I recieved a call again on 6/27 saying, "This is your second and final chance to renew your credit card interest before the next billing cycle! Press 1 now to learn about the terms and conditions. Again, press 1 now, as it relates to the financial stimulus." My caller ID said, "Name Not Found".  I have not pressed 1 yet & will not in the future.  IT IS A SCAM- don't bother to waste your time answering it.
Better yet, get caller ID if you don't have it to avoid all unnecessary interruptions.  If it is important, if they want to speak to me and if it is someone I know....THEY WILL LEAVE ME A MESSAGE!!!!!!

Received a call form this number at 6 PM, during dinner.  Funny, the pre-recorded tape had gone hay-wire, and was speeding through the garbled message at a 200 RPMs.  The pre-recorded voice message sounded like a Disney character on helium.

PS / we're on the National Do Not Call List..... but that hasn't stopped any of these jerks from calling - especially at dinner time.  We report them all.  WHEN IS THE GOVERNMENT GOING TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE VIOLATIONS?????? !!!!!

642 is the displayed country access code because caller ID's only show the 10 digit or 11 digit number your not getting the full number that they are calling from

The top of this page claims this ⎆ 642 is an invalid area code then how in tarnation do they have the unmitigated ability to call?
Clearly something in the calling system allows this stupid nonsense time and again!
What a farce the phone companies are, we pay for caller ID's & yet they don't show the full number, we're on do not call lists and they do little to stop these daily recorded calls !

I received a call from this number on my caller id. I did not answer the call because I didn't recognize the number. The message they left said that this was my final notice to take advantage of the federal stimulus money to help pay off my credit cards before my next billing cycle.aqnd change the terms and conditions of my credit card. This organization calls me several times a week.Today 7/9/11 they called at 1:27 PM as usual if I ask a questuin they hang up.We are on the do not call registry but it does not help. Please accept my complaint. Is there anything else that I can do?

However, they do not indicate which credit card or what type of information.
