This is credit one bank they call me all day long. I just found out if you ask them to not call you any more they are not suppose to. You need to write them a certified letter telling them only contact you by mail.

It is Credit One Bank and they are very strange - I never even heard of them - I currently have horrible credit since lost job a year ago, had to stop paying all creditors, owe over 50,000 and out of the blue I get a credit card from this place with a 300.00 limit - when I called to activate it, you can not get one singel person that speaks English - they have certain"activation hours" which I have never heard of - any legit bank, you can activate any time of day and then I got a call yesterday where in broken English he is trying to tell me I have a security hold on my account pending certain "documents" - I hu on him - I never applied for the card so why would they have a security hold unless they just send out low bal cr cards and then actually need your information - I read another (several posts) in rip off report that they charge fees like crazy and they charged one guy 9.95 to pay by phone which is in viiolation of the credit card act that no longer allows them to do that...........you can not even get an English supervisor......they aslo send the card with a sticker on it if you do not activate in 14 days, we will close acct which I also hve never heard of ............I think it is some scam bank operating in Califorinia.

Got a call from 646-307-4308 today asking for our roommate who hasn't lived with us for 4 yrs. STRONG middle eastern accent. I looked up Credit One and their located in Las Vegas, this number is from NY. Called the police about it and was advised that ANY collection calls with that accent is a FRAUD trying to get money from ppl. Credit One's info is: https://www.creditonebank.com/contact-us.aspx. Called the roommate and let him know the situation. Best thing to do is contact your local authorities so they make a notation of the situation and block the number if you can. Their NOT a collection agency for Capitol One. Called them as well and they said they do NOT use outside sources, that they have their own collection department. PLEASE do NOT give them any of your information!!!!!

Unfortunately, Credit One doesn't have to abide by the Fair Debt Collection Act as they are a direct collector. So they can call whenever and however many times, it is extremely annoying though.

next time they call act like you are going to pay them and get their billing address and then after you get info from them tell them you are sending them a letter in writing that they are no longer to contact you by phone. Also tell tell them this is a formal letterand if they don't know what that means to look it up.  If they continue to call you after that they are breaking the law and you can sue them.  Then get ahold of consumer affairs in washington dc and let them know...they have to stop calling you..

Credit One, they call relentlessly (6 to 8 times) from day 1 of being past due.  Fortunately my phone can "auto-reject" these calls so I never hear the phone ring!!

It figures it's something called Credit One.  I've been getting 10-15 calls a day from a number in San Antonio, Texas that turned out to be something called Credit One.  They were actually silent this morning and then this afternoon, I started getting calls from this  New York number.

All of sudden I get calls from this # back to back and no one leaves a message. I called it back only to get nothing or a busy signal. It just started today and I decided to pull it up online since I couldn't get an answer and I get this site and many of you are saying the calls are from Credit One Bank. I have never had a Credit One Bank card nor do I want one. Whether they have their own credit collection or not, what they are doing should be illegal and our government should do something about it. I should not be harassed because someone gave a wrong # or possibly had my # previously. They are harassing people and they should be held financially liable and then they would stop this bs. I do not know if it is a credit collector or telemarketing (just going by what people on this site say) but I promise the next time they call and if I am available they will get an ear full.

I literally received 5 phone calls in under 2 minutes, with not one message left on my voice mail.  Due to the time zone difference, I begin receiving calls between 6-7am including Sundays and Holidays (6:22am on the 4th of July).  Credit issues or no credit issues, this should be considered harassment.
