Got a voicemail from "Brian Thompson" that referred to me by first name as if I knew him and just left his number for call back.  Good to know who he is from above posts.  This is a good resource.  Thanks

Brian Thompson used the number:  646-722 7779.  It is in a block of phone numbers sold by Broadmore Communications in New York.  I suspect a stock salesman?

I got the same call from the Brian Thompson guy. He left his message and called me Bob as if he knew me. I am known as Rob.

Ditto. Left a message with my secretary saying we'd talked last month.

Same thing, lied right to me as I was screening call for my boss. Told me "he'll know what this is regarding." Didn't even indentify what organization he was a part of. Idiot.

Unsolicited pushy broker call

For those called by this number, the call is from ICC - Investors Capital Corporation.  This is a chop shop brokerage firm, and you got called by their New York office.

The names of the brokers in this group are Andrew Parisi, Jim Ignatowich, Robert Estevez, Mike Murphy, Paul Cammareri, and Brian Thompson.   The last brokerage these guys were at got shut down by FINRA and the SEC (If you want more stories about these guys, just look up 866-403-2078, 866-543-3934, and 646-722-7770, and 646-448-3535).  As you will be able to see, they harass secretaries all day long.  They sell bonds that were bought for a lower price some time ago, and are quite risky.  They also sell risky, thinly-traded stocks.

Jim Ignatowich's market knowledge does not run very deep.  His strength is sales.  He got wiped out, and wiped his clients out, on tech stocks 10 years ago and he also lost a lot of money on real estate this decade.

Their source is no more than the Martindale Lawyer Directory.  They often call multiple attorneys at the same firm on the same day, often within five minutes each other.  They really think personal assistants are not smart enough to see through their lies.

If you are a personal assistant reading this and they have called you, write below how they treated you on the phone, and let's work together to make a big dent in Jim's business.   Doing business with this group is asking to lose your money.

Got a call from the same person at this number. Glad I didn't call him back.

Rec'd a call from Brian Thompson for my boss.  I asked what he was calling about.  He said my boss will know.  I asked him if this was a sales call, and he said no.  His call back number is (646) 722-6503. He sounded like a scam so I searched the internet and low and behold, many others have been contacted by this individual. Great website!!!  Thank you!

I received a call from Brian Thompson. He used 646-722-6593. It's an NYC number, typically cell phones. He said he spoke with my employer before which I know to be a lie. Claimed to represent "Edison's", but would not disclose what "Edison's" is .  Bogus telemarketer, likely a scam.

I also got a call from Brian Thompson (646-722-6593), but since I never answer calls from numbers I do not recognize, I didn't answer. He left message to call him which, thanks to this site, I will not be doing.

I received a call from this guy this morning.  He is NOT with Morgan Stanley.  He just says he's with firms that have high name recognition.  This morning he told me he was with Pershing, which is a large NYC brokerage firm.  These guys are real pests and somebody needs to stop them!

I received a call from Brian Thompson this morning.  He left the number 646-722-7779.  He was calling my boss, who is an attorney, and acted like he knew him as well.  What I think is really bad is that he says he's with firms that have high name recognition.  This morning he told me he was with Pershing, which is a large NYC brokerage firm.  I read an earlier post where he told somebody he was with Morgan Stanley.  These guys are real pests and somebody needs to stop them!

Got a T/C from "Brian Thompson"  from a blocked "private" number.  Asked for one of the attorneys in my firm.  Asked what company he was with and was told ICC. When I asked what it was regarding.  He knew the jig was up and hung up on me.

Same story today.  Bryan Thompson said my boss "would know what it's about". Call back number was 646-448-3546.

Today Brian was Brian White.  Said he was calling for my boss from ICC in New York.  Glad I checked up on him.
