Responding to furniture ad, wanting to send a money order or cashier check. Sending a courier to pick up furniture. Can only communicate to person via text.

Its the Overpayment Scam.  The check is for the price of the furniture plus the courier's fee.  You wire the fee to the courier.  That clears instantly.  The check is a well-made forgery.  It bounces, but that takes weeks.  You owe your bank the amount of the check plus a bounced-check fee.  The buyer also controls the courier's account.  He gets the courier fee.  

He can only communicate by text because he speaks with a thick African, Indian, or Pakistani accent.  He does not want you to know that.

Trying to sale a dress. "Melissa white" said she was if be with a asking price. Just needed address to send payment with money order. Courier would come pick up dress.

Scammer - trying to sell a piece of furniture and the first email sounded good, wanting additional photos and the lowest price I would take.  I responded and received the below email from the clown.  I emailed him back and told him "Nice try "Melissaa""

"Hi, Thank you for your respond,good to know the Furniture  is still available for sale and still in good condition as it was describe on the advert, i am ok with the final asking price  and i do  have a courier company that will come for the pickup of the Furniture  from you after payment, so you don't have to bother yourself shipping the Furniture,and my mode of payment is a Certified cashier check. If that's ok by you,  kindly get back to me with your full name and address with phone number so i can get the payment prepare and we can talk about the pick up schedule and you can only text me at 646 494-3812,I will be looking forward to hear back from you soon.
