A debt reduction scam. Claims to be Citibank, but the caller ID is probably spoofed.

I received a call from this number, which showed "Citi" on the caller ID, claiming there was fraudulent activity involving a whatever city in China. The caller instructed me to report the incident to a Chinese police department before they could cancel the card. I told them, I'm an American, I report to US police, not Chinese police. Besides, they should be the one reporting it since I never have the card opened.

It was clearly a scam. Although the caller didn’t ask for any personal info during the call, I suspect they would have if I had followed their instructions and called the number in China. I also told them I’ve never been to China and never will. At that point, they hung up.

Just a heads-up to others... stay alert and don’t fall for it.

Got exactly the same spam today, too, from 6465024190. Caller ID is Citi. Claimed to be Citi Fraud Dept.
