Caller claims to be from the US Government. He wants to deposit a $2500 grant into my mastercard. He requested my mastercard number

I gave them my info because they claimed they already had most of it, and they drafted my account for $250 2 times in a row over drafting my account and now I don't think I will get my money back. A hard lesson learned

#1 I explained that we are a DO NOT CALL number
#2 very UnAmerican Sounding people w/ Very American names
#3 they have my name, address, phone number and wanted my visa card #
#4 they said that we've been doing so well with our bank (Wachovia) that they were given approval to give us a $2500 grant as a Thank You (or insentive?)  the bank is new, and we're still in our probation period.
#5 they were informed that i wanted their "deal" in writing, sent to my home, and they refused.  they kept trying to push me into giving them my visa card #...even with the knowledge that my son has cancer, and i didn't want to take any chances of not having money to get my son 225 + miles away for his care.

i did get the phone # so that i could varify who they are:  they claimed to be the US Grant Dept.  being a military family, i called the places i needed to, and it was varified that they are Fraud!

what ate the number i can call and report these instinses so they will stop calling us and demading that we give them our card information

Thes people just called me. They said Mik Richard and Bryan Thomas but sounded Afghanistan. The number I had was 646-652-0485. They wanted my info but I said send something in the mail first proving your business.

Those guys told me the same info and said I was doing good with my bank. I new something was up. I just got the account less than 6 months ago. I was thinking to myself they have more than enough information to send me a check. I was also thinking about the economy and people losing their jobs. But the accent w/ American names and he couldnt even spell Mike correctly, that made me think even harder.  So I just did my research online. Thank you so much!
