Some lady called my daughter's cell and told her she was used as a refernce for a pay day loan I had outstanding and for me to contact her since this was a legal matter. She said she was from the LLC law office and left this number. When I checked for the LLC law office on the internet there were numerous scam complaints about the number and business name. I dhave no outstanding payday loans so I know this is also a scam.

i just received a phone call from the same number 646-652-0731 and i too almost got caught up this scam but when the caller with an indian accent couldn't give me a valid address to his office i decided to google his [***] and to my relief found out that this is all a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received a call on my work number this morning from a guy named "Allen" with a call back number of 646-652-0731. He left a message, threatening me, then wished me 'luck'....very odd....so, I called the number back and the guy that answered knew my first and last name, the last 4 of my social, and one of my email addresses. He told me NOT TO SPEAK, until he was done reading me my 'charges'. Then he mentioned something about wire fraud and $5484.84 and said it would be "wise" if I retained an attorney. Well, I let him speak, then he asked if I had any questions, so I said, "Yes, I have a question....what country are you calling from?" He hesitated, then said he was calling from "a country called America and a state called New York." I'm like, "WHAT? You're calling from NEW YORK?" Really.....
Then I told him that before I went any further, I was going to call the state attorney general where I live and report them because it was VERY obvious that they were trying to scam me. Then he started this uncontrollable laughter, seriously like a psycho in a movie or something, so I hung up. If I wasn't at work while on the phone with this guy, I would have ripped him a new one, but I had to maintain my composure.

this foreign man has called my friends and my sons how did they get these numbers and who the h___ are these people ,they have already called me fout times today and it is only two fifteen pm please help

I got the same message, saying that my sister had given out my number as a reference.  This looks to me like this guy stole confidential information from somewhere.

Yup. I was called by this guy too. He claimed my son owed almost $6,000 to a pay day loan company. When my son called, the guy could barely speak English and could not even name which payday loan company this supposedly involved.

I believe they got my number and my son's information because he once applied for a payday loan online. If that information was hacked, it could explain some of the BS. Do your research, folks.
