Received a very bad text-to-speech message claiming a lawsuit was filed against us and would be filed at our local courthouse unless we return a call to this number. I'm not certain what they think to gain, but I'm sure it is a scam.

Automated voice asking me to call this number or a local lawsuit would be filed with the county court house.
I'd like to find the person doing this and beat them to death with their robo-caller device.

Total scam.  Most likely originates in India or Pakistan.  If a lawsuit was pending against you, you'd have received a letter in the mail form the attorney for the other side.  There'd  be a paper trail.  If a case was filed, you'd have received papers served on y ou by someone licensed to serve process in your state.  You would not hear about a civil  case from some cold-calling debt scammer.  Ignore and block the calls.
