I received a call today Wednesday, May 2, 2012 @ 3:50PM  from an East Indian man who stated his name is Steve Allen.  He stated he was calling from the Financial Claims Department of a NYC Government Agency and he was calling to resolve a debt that was reported by his client to him who he claims is commencing legal action towards me.  He also claims that several e-mails have been sent to me without response.  He's also left a voice mail for me offering to help me out and he even ends the message with "God bless you, have a good day, bye bye".

i got the sae thing today and it depends on the state you live in and if it was an online payday loan or a storefront payday loan.....We have heard several threats and here are some of the most commonly used ones:

- We will sue you for check fraud.
- We will have someone arrest you.
- We will make sure you go to jail.

Are these true? Can a payday lender really sue, arrest, or put you in jail for a payday loan? The answer is no. Defaulting on a payday loan is not a crime and cannot result in criminal charges. This means that you cannot be prosecuted, arrested, or put in jail check fraud, breach of contract, or anything else that your payday lender might threaten you with.

I just received a call on my cell phone and at my work number regarding a situation that I need to attend to immediately.  They couldn't leave a detailed message regarding the situation, but they need to hear back from me immediately.

I just got a callfrom #  646-652-7427 from Dexter Brown with the financial crime division of John McCormack PC in NY NY  in regards to a loan I supposedly aquired from Insta-Cash for 300.00 and never got it, I spoke to the FBI earlier on a different scammer Frank Robinson Legal department for US Cash Advance the number was out of Washington state 253-325-2290, the FBI said to just totally ignore these scammers, you cant be arrested or put in jail for defaulting on a loan stupid foreigners "Indians" LOL so I told him about the talk with the FBI earlier today and he couldnt get off the phone fast enough just like good ole Frank who hung up on me after I started asking him questions about the loan, cant wait till this moronic group of people get arrested for fraud and also those idiots selling information, so just call your local police dept if it still continues and give them as much information as you can

It is a scam. Got the same call. They also called place of business. Boss asked ehat is going on told him I applied for a loan but never got it. He understood. I don't understand how they can call people a scare the life out of them.

hey i just got this call from the same number!  it is the 4th one in the past 6m.  different name different number but same intentions.  they say i owe for this payday loan that i NEVER got and that they will arrest me and send the state police to my job.  they are foriegn and you can't understand a word they say!  But when you say FBI they know what you are talking about and hang up!!!! Please i hope that no one pays them. this is a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!

That if i didn't call David Jackson back they would have me arrested at home or job something about a loan

These people called me aswell and I've never gotten any kind of loan from them. Obviously its a fraudulent number and they are just trying to get money that's not theirs. I told them I have reported them to the police and if they continue to call me I will get them for harrassment and impersonating a cop. Lets get together n file some kind of lawsuit against them

I just got a phone call from an Indian named Jason. He left a voice mail saying that he has been leaving me messages and that I never return his call and that I was avoiding him. He said that he will be contacting my place of employment and that this would result in legal action if I do not call him in a few hours. I checked the message at 8pm and could not reach him. I have never received a message from him or anyone else at that number. He left the number on my voice mail and said that all he can do is wish me luck and that this is all my fault!

I have never had a message so threatening and rude! You could tell he was reading a script!

I got the same call today from a Ron Williams.  Same Indian accent.  Called my cell and my work #.  As soon as I heard the voice I didn't even give this guy time to talk.  I told him straight out that he was the same [***] who called me last week and I've reported them to the FBI and Fraud Dept. and to go [***] themselves!!  Afterwards, I called them back (payback is a [***])!!  I asked what company was I calling and they kept asking me for my name.  I told them they get no name until I know who they were.  I then proceeded to tell them how they liked being taken for a ride and thank goodness I reported them, especially Ron Williams!!!  I then mentioned my law firm would be looking into this and they would then have to deal with a lawsuit for harassment.  They couldn't hang up fast enough!!!  Love it!!!
