I got a phone call from this number telling me I had won $500,000 in the Publisher's Clearing House Contest.  They asked me for $2,000 to the wired to an overseas address, then they would present me with a $415,000 check (less taxes).  I only had $1,000 and I sent that.  Now they want another $1,000 in cash - this is a SCAM.

Yep, same # has been scamming my grandmother.

These guys are good - they sound extremely legit but they are far from it. DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT trust them. You and your money will soon be parted. If you have sent them money, please call the New York District Attorney's office at 212-335-9000 and report it.

Call the NY DA's office - file a complaint. You may (though admittedly doubtful) get your $1K back. DA's number is 212-335-9000. Ask for the fraud dept. These guys think they're untouchable. Time to prove them wrong.

This super shister took my 85-year old mother for over $16,000 before I found out about it and stopped the process. She hasn't much left and I know he would have scammed her out of every dime. I tracked him down and found through the Royal Canadian Mounted Police that this is a group out of Canada. Unfortunately, not much can be done except warn everyone you know, especially the elderly and isolated. They are an especially delicious target for these maggots! The opening comes through sweepstakes offers and so-called publisher's clearning house rewards. Then a phone call informing of a big win, only if they pay taxes up front!
