Canada Yellow Pages Reverse Lookup,  and other posters, indicate this is a Toronto Landline owned by Iristel Ltd., which is a busiNess that rents put phone lines on a month to month basis.  Posters elsewhere indicate this is a robo-dialer - some say is it a prerecorded sales pitch for kitchen reno and designer services (no legit business does this; legit cimoanies know to comply with the Do No Call Registry rules); others say something about 'red widgets for dentistry' but the images look like a total scam.  My guess is it is likely the same scammers as the Duct Cleaning jerks; if they get a live answer, the number is added to an.offshore database and you get MORE scam calls. Why doesn't the DNR Registry and Industry Canada start holding Iristel to account for renting to fly-by-night scammers? They can afford to research if a company is legit registered business!

Saw a call from this number and caught part of a recorded message about designer services and to press 2 to be removed from the list.  When I called back got a message saying "inactive account"

They call repeatedly, advertising kitchen renovations, and violating National Do Not Call List.

Why doesn't the government do something to stop these type of calls. These calls disturb us for  NOTHING!!!

Just got call and caught the same 'dead air' and 'kitchen reno' recording. Proves that this is not a legit Canadian Business. Notice they don't provide a Business Name, and cold callling like this is not legit. It is a computer dialer scam is the same as the 'duct cleaning' - the organizers may know someone in Canada but the Call Centre does not operate from there. CBC Marketplace showed this type of Call Centre is an organized crime ring in India where the crooks often bribe local police officials, or get tipped off and move locations overnight.  What they really want is a valid phone number, so then it gets listed for more scam calls and they sell or rent the data to other call centres. This is what we get for our businnesses contracting such services offshore to the lowest bidders. I wouldn't trust ANY contractor these people would send; it just gives them access to your house and I wouldn't trust their work or skills. The RCMP and Interpol are now FINALLY pressuring India on these Call Centre crooks. Canada could not act sooner, because we must have their government's cooperation when it comes to law enforcement in another country.

This number calls constantly. I never answer but calls do not stop.
