A warranty company. They knew I lived in a house and that we owned it. Then she wanted me to confirm address etc. I told her I didn't like confirming over the phone - could she send me information in the mail. She briskly said good bye.

Caller said she was calling from Ontario Assisted Warranty Program. I asked if this is a government program. She said no.

She said they warranty appliances etc for new homes. At no charge (!!!). I said I’d never heard of them.

She said I had a rebate of $88 coming to me and she just needed to get my deposit information so that they could get it to me. I said I wasn’t comfortable giving her my private information. She hung up on me.

Got the same call listened for a few minutues than hung up.

Said she was from Ontario warranty company. When asked to repeat that she just stopped talking/hung up

No message left...spammer

She knew my address and wanted to confirm.  Calling about getting assistance on home appliance repairs and a carbon tax credit.  Just needed my bank account number to make a deposit.  I said I would pass because I wouldn't give it out by bank account # over the phone.  She thanked me for my time and hung up.

PHONE call this afternoon - no need for this Warranty as live in apartment which supplies the appliances does own repairs.
