Just got the same type text message. Called back, Career Adviser in California. I had applied for an American Airlines job. She ask a few contact questions, then when I told her I was NOT interested in any 'further education' the call ended. She hung up on me. BEWARE!  The number that called my phone was 650-567-4007. The call back number in their text was 650-200-1607. The job I had applied for was through Joblur.com. Again, beware. I have checked several others sites now, and people are getting these calls all over the USA. I plan to post to some of the other sites too. I just got a text from that number too. I am in CA and have applied for some positions. But seems bizarre to get a text. And have no idea who it Is.

I just got a text from 650-209-7412 about a position I applied for saying to call or txt them back on 650-200-1607.  Seems a little weird to get a txt message as opposed to a call....not to mention I'm in New York!  Glad to see others here have had a similar experience.....saves me the effort of following up.

Thanks -- glad someone called back and spoke to them.  I just got this text with someone else's name attached.  I was going to call the number to let them know that they've got the wrong number -- glad to know that they're selling stuff anyway so I'm definitely not calling.  Thanks!

I just received the same call saying that they wanted to talk to me today about a job I applied for to please call 650-200-1607. Thank you everyone for sharing your post. It saved me having the heartache. It is awful when you are trying to find a job that people would be so deceiving as to do such things. Good luck to those of you on the job hunt.

Even though we are all reporting the number....they are still obviously very busy..because I just got that same text an hour ago.  it is ridiculous and yes it came after me seeking employment.  The economy is beyond hard...why would they be so sneaky and nasty?

Received the same crap. Companies do not send text with an option to STOP. Bull@#$% is whhat it is folks.

Its 4/5/16 and i just recieved the same text as everyone else  from 650-200-1607. Got very leary and text Stop as well. People beware and aware.Pdn job alert

I received countless calls from this number for months on my work line and it is always a silent call followed by a quick hangup. Always suspicious considering the prefix is 200 and the CID shows VOIP CALLER which usually indicates is is a fake/spoofed or internet phone. Called the number back and reached a recording saying that 'the number you have dialed is not in service".
