I received a text from 6502578760 indicating to call 6502001754 to discuss the job opening I applied for on job board.  I DID NOT apply for job opening.  I text back and asked for name of company, with no response, I then called both #'s and received music on line.

I also received same text.  same as above

I received this message. I applied to many jobs recently...
My gutt feeling is telling me don't call. So I googled this number and this website is what I got. So I share with all of you that I believe this might be a new way of scams.
P.s. what area code is this anyways. I'm from Hawaii, I don't know..

Just got a text from this # for a job I supposedly applied for. I have been applying for jobs but this just didn't feel right & I saw this post to confirm that gut feeling. The area code is from California that includes most of San Mateo county & a small part of Santa Clara county. The message also referred to me as Tammi, which is definitely not my name.

It is from California. I got the same text when I applied for a J ob. Annoying at best. I'm guessing a scam too.? Who knows

This is what I got.  Called and it is a different person everytime.  They try to find you a job.  Just a big waist of my time.  How is someone in another state going to tell me something about my local area that I can't find on indeed or some other job board.

Just got the same text reported in earlier posts.  I am inclined not to call either of these numbers back

6502001754, called and texted me about a job ...don't answer or call back. I've learned my lesson.

I too received the same as all of the others.  I've been applying so much but I too did not feel right about this.  After reading what everyone has said....I wont be calling it.

I had the same text. But don't live in Cali. And didn't apply for any jobs in Cali.

I do live in California and I've applied for many jobs here but when I got this text I decided to ignore it. Who would text about a job, that's ridiculous.

They exact thing happened to me and I'm only 17, but was applying for jobs. I'm scared that I just gave them access to bigger names by giving them my phone number..

I had applied for a couple of jobs on line this afternoon.  I got a text message requesting I call 650-200-1754 regarding a job for which I had applied. The person on the other end wanted to verify info on my ap and he did have the info. I didn't feel comfortable with the call, and hung up.  So, not only is the number a scam, it's connected to one of the job ads I responded to.  Seems like many of these on-line job sources are nothing more than phishing.... Frustrating!

I just received the text everyone else has gotten.  I responded with a text asking for the name of the company and the position in question.  Still waiting for a response.....

...same thing as above.  However, I use a more formal first name on my actual job applications and a shortened version on my LinkedIn profile.  They used the shortened version, so I know it's not for any actual job I applied for.

I, also, received a txt msg telling me to call this number#650-200-1754 about a job I applied for. I have been answering many job ads...but, this gave me a bad feeling.  I'm glad I looked it up!
