Said it was google maps and wanted to verify my business and website.. not sure if legit or not. Yesterday I received a text from 855-593-9026 saying that it was google as well

Called saying he was from google maps.

These people have been calling non-stop, starting at 6:17 in the morning one day. I usually ignore, but saw this number listed as spam on multiple websites, so I answered and responded to his "I'm from Google Maps" with some of the most foul, disgusting words/phrases you can imagine. I'm hoping this will make the calls stop, but I noticed the called 2 minutes after I disconnected the call I actually answered.

Caller ID read "Google Maps" I did not pick up the line, choosing to continue a face-to-face conversation with an executive. The call was routed to voice mail, the message was of a person whispering and sighing.  I dialed the number  back to feign regret at having missed the call and heard:  Thank you for calling google...unfortunately we don't take calls at this number...please visit our website at support dot google dot com.  Thanks for calling.

This caller has contacted my company before, claiming to be from Google Maps to confirm my company's business address & hours (which are both accurately reflected). However, when I did not transfer them to someone else to speak with as I did not have authorization to confirm information, the caller got increasingly annoyed even though I offered to take a message. Said words along the lines of, "You don't know- you can't even look up someone to transfer me to?" then eventually hung up after I again offered to take a message.

I received a call from this number claiming to be Google Maps and asked if it was my company and they were verifying my information.  I verified it before thinking it was an issue.  Now I'm concerned I just got scammed.
