It seems to be a brand new scam because I never got a message like this before. I pick up the phone. It was a computerized voice message stating that my credit card or checking account would be charged for a subscription. I think they stated the amount, but I don't remember what it was. (Maybe a $1,000?) To cancel the subscription, they told me to call them back. However, they did not mention my name. My telephone number is a landline, so there could be many different people answering the phone; therefore, they don't know who they are calling and don't know if I have a credit card or a checking account. Naturally, I did not call them back. I looked and did not find any information on this phone number online, so I decided to post the news here. I'm getting used to being threatened with all kinds of charges by scammers.

A couple weeks ago I got an email claiming that I purchased a $1,000 TV on Amazon. The email suggested that I could cancel the purchase by clicking a link in the email. I marked that email as a spam as I don't shop on Amazon.

These two scams could be related as I was shopping on Craigslist a lot lately. I think scammers got a hold of my telephone number and email. So, the next step, I called their number while blocking my number. First, I heard sounds of a call center, then a female voice said, "We are unable to take your call right now. Good bye." I guess, the scammers are swamped. I called again. This time the call center noises were much longer, but then a female voice said the same thing... To be continued.

same here.  Robo dialer saying my credit card was about to be charged $499 for a subscription.  They never identified who they were or what I was buying.  They asked that I return the call so I could reveal all my personal information to them.

Sounds suspicious don't give them any info
