Hangs up when answering machine kicks in.  Won't leave a message.  And they really think I'm going to answer when it comes up as "unknown"?

I second that!!!  I have a panasonic & I am always blocking unknown & unwanted calls.

Called at 8:30 a.m. Says unknown caller. Just let it ring. Apparently vultures.

First words from robo-caller were:  Attention seniors.  Immediate disconnect.  Attempted to call back - message said their box was full, could not accept any more calls.  SOB's.

Called me early while I was sleeping, left no message.  what is the point of calling to interrupt my sleep and leave no message?  very aggravating.

Verizon offers another type of block.  Immediately after unknown call comes in, get your dial tone and then hit: **7.  Caller is immediately blocked.  Just be sure you do this ONLY while unknown listing shows.  You don't want to block a known friend or family member!

CORRECTION
Get the dial tone, and type *77
This will block unwanted callers.

after setting up the # how do i erase from view screen. sometimes ib want to view what calld i make . if i have a bunch of blocked numbers it would take forever to view legitimate missed cakks

I wasn't here when the call came in.  But, I wouldn't have answered it anyway as it had UNAVAILABLE in the CID.  I refuse to answer any calls that do not identify themselves--or that have a name and number I do not know.

Blocked these criminals.  I keep a boat horn by my phone.  If I accidentally get a real person I give them a blast.

I am reporting these people to the Public Service Commission.  A female voice from this number has called me on my home number more than once trying to sell me Supplemental Insurance and she claimed to be from Medicare.  I called Medicare to verify whether the calls are coming from them and was told that Medicare did not make such calls.  Furthermore, Medicare said those calls are illegal and that it is illegal for companies to try to sell you medical insurance that you already have or to try to get you to switch companies.  When I tried to call the number back I got a recording "the mailbox is full." I am filing my complaint today.
