We received a call from this number with a message this is Elizabeth Walker from the fraud department. Asking me or my attorney to call immediately. So stupid, first they do not mention my name, or fraud department from where? Plus I have never been to Georgia. I have reported this number and filed a compliant to the Federal Trade Commission. And blocked the number

This is a common ploy by criminals masquerading as debt collectors who are attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this,  all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.  One of the tricks they use is to call your work place, friends, or relatives repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying.  They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

I received the same call as above from Elizabeth walker stating the same thing.

They called me to and only thing I don't like is they have the last four of my SSN but I knew it was [***] when they said the account was opened and it was farud. Then they went and said they will get me for harassment charges if I kept calling and I had my attorney called because I am in bankruptcy lol

They did the same to me didn't scare me ibknow what I've done in loans. I played there game and they got mad and I had my Atty call them too

They did me the same way and they wait around tax time to call with threats.

They called me today and said they were going to get me for fraud and press charges and everything else

They called me and said they were going to press charges against me and put me in jail for fraud amd eveeything else my lawyer called and they keep hanging up on him

They called me also. I hung up and then called them back. When I asked why they were calling. They said it was a legal matter and asked if I was me. I asked them what kind of legal matter, and they hung up. Called back and they hung up again.

Same here - Elizabeth Walker-doesn't state a name in message and that there's a fraud case against me. I currently don't owe anyone - Praise Jesus!

Same here, Elizabeth Walker calls leaves message stating I have fraud case against me, threatening Jail. Also has called my brother numerous times leaving messages regarding me and fraud charges etc. I have 0 debt .0, owe no one .

Called me, left a message, I knew it was a scam, ignored them.I always go online to find out who called before I ever call anyone back

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.  Tell 'em  no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.

You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.
