This add was in The Daily Sentinel in Nacogdoches, Tx, figured it must be a scam

We work at a newspaper in MN. The guy said his name is Jay Murphy at 1209 Wave Runner Ct, Nashville TN 37217. He wanted "Babysitter needed immediately in Crookston $700/wk. Must love kids! 678-318-3650. He wanted it to run M-F. The credit card # given to us was 5581-5880-3654-4138 exp.9/10

Also listed in a localc newspaper in NJ. I goggled it to see if i could find a name or location to go w/ it.

This ad is running in my local newspaper, in Northeast Indiana,as well. I just googled the number, because I thought who would pay $700 a week for a babysitter.

There was an ad in the saline reporter (mi) also. with that same number. While trying to find the ad on the internet i found this site. Don't think im gonna call now. thanks for the info

This ad also ran in the Milford Times Newspaper this week.  Milford Michigan.  The same info was posted...$700.00 per week to watch children.  The phone number does come up as a land line in Buford Georgia.  (Info from 411, reverse look up).

Just was checking the classifieds on my newspaper.. Cape Cod Times and this one came up asking for childcare in Barnstable! $700 a week! What confuses me is that this guy/girl is spending LOADS of money on newspaper ads! To post what he did costs about $90!

Well, this guys ad was most rescently in the Wrightstown Wisconsin newspaper 11/24/08.  Wrightstown has only about 3000 residents.  What a dope this guy is, get life because I'm sure that you read these.

This ad was posted online for a position in Jersey City, NJ.  Good thing I checked.  Just got laid off from one of my jobs....some people are just crazy...

This same Ad was in the Cincinnati Enquirer yesterday. I am so glad i googled the number first.

This exact same ad was posted in the Jefferson City, MO News Tribune. I contacted the paper as soon as I saw all of these comments about the phone number! Boy am I happy that I didn't fall for that one!

Well from what I have researched this is the number for Rodney J. Murphy & Associates, which is actually a scam that gets people to pay ten dollers for an application fee to become a nanny for 700 a week.

wow....i read the posts. Cause it was also in the paper in ames, ia. about how this family needed a babysitter asap. 700 dollars a week.  I called the number and it was a voice recording and then i went to to website and it looked freaky.  My roommate said that the area code wasnt in my area and told me to look it up.  ha glad i did.
