Contacted me reported that they were from Jackson and Burnes. Said i had old payday loan, and had a warrant on arrest for fraud. Also reported they wasn't going to mail me any information in regards to account. Reported they would email me something once account is paid in full

Yeah, right. "Pay us now, get proof you owed later." How many times are lying goons like this going to try that stunt? Oh, and email docs! How generous. Wassa matta, their printer broken?

Whether you are called a debtor or some collector thinks you can flush one out, you have rights and options. Many are simple to exercise if you only learn how. You are granted control of how you are contacted, the right to dispute debt claims, and the means to sue violators at low cost. The FTC and the CFPB can start you on your homework. Beware of the lies written by many “Internet Mud Slingers” who think nothing about posting false statements and opinions, about people and business telephone numbers. Let me make this perfectly clear, I do not agree with illegal and  heavy handed collection tactics. But you simply cannot believe the poison and negativity that some of these folks are posting. On rare occasions some good Samaritans offer well intended helpful advice to consumers.  But many of these posts are written by professional mudslingers who have their own self-serving agendas. They offer us tactics on how not to pay our bills and how not to live up to our obligations and responsibilities.   Consumers should beware of these “consultants” who make false statements that are designed to spread rumors and cause harm. Many of these posts are clear cut cases of defamation; statements that are made with malice and with reckless disregard of the truth.
