- Deb replies to randy mc| 3 repliesNumber 701-461-0010 is a credit card scam. Caller from North Dakota says they are calling to discuss credit card fraud. I hung up. Called number back and got a recording saying that "cardmember services number was disconnected." Really?
- Mike| 16 repliesThis is actually a legit call from US Bank's corporate card fraud department. I called the number on the back of my corporate card, and they confirmed that they did indeed try to call.

CALL THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF YOUR CARD - CWG40 replies to MikeIt's most likely a scam. I suspect you are part of it. Just another scam directed at the customers or large scale financial institutions.
- Hal| 2 repliesThe number 701-461-0010 is a non call back number for Card Member Services. This particular number is for US Bank. If you have filed a complaint and/or disputed a charge on one of you US Bank issued cards, Card Member Services uses this number for their call-out and will leave you a 1-800 number to respond. One of US Bank large customers is Kroger Rewards.

- Tierney replies to MikeThis is a scam. I called the number on the back of my card and they said it is absolutely a scam and that there was nothing wrong with my account.
- Tierney replies to HalI called us bank and they said this is a scam. Only call the number on the back of your card.
- JeffThis is a complete SCAM! Somebody called ME and left a message pretending to be my bank. Left a toll free number that when dialed is answered with a voice message for SharePoint Mortgage Services asking you to leave your name, phone number, ssn, and account number and they will get back to you in 24 - 48 hours (probably how long it takes to steal your ID and get a credit card in your name). Anybody that leaves their ssn and account information on a voice message is just asking for it!

- JTNot A Scam, it was a fraud alert call from US Bank. I didn't pick up. They left a callback number and the last few digits of my card number. I called the number on the voicemail. I was suspicious when they (the computer) asked for a billing zip code before getting me to a live person and I hung up. I checked my account online and found unauthorized charges. I called them back (number from voice mail) and a customer service person worked through getting a new card.

- Elle replies to DebThis is a bank that called to ask if a member of my family applied for a credit card, and the answer is no. Thankful that they called to ask and check. There is so much identity theft today. Very sad! No harm to call back and check.
- Rh replies to Mike#maybe legit, but that doesn't mean the # wasn't hack by NON legit scammers
- Rh replies to Mike| 1 replyIf it's so legit, then WHY don't they leave a voice mail?
- Rh replies to HalIf what you say is true, then why call people who have NEVER done business with U s bank?
- RealOneI did not call the number back. I did call the bank (US Bank) referred to in the message. There was an application, apparently fraudulent, for a credit card using my name (incorrectly) and SS#. Don't call the number, but do follow-up if a bank or card is referred.
- CJPI use 800 Notes a lot to look up numbers that typically turn out to be spam and the posts are usually 100% correct about the caller. So I'm a bit surprised to see this number have so many differences of opinions.
For me it was 100% legitimate. They called and left a voice mail stating they were from the fraud prevention dept. for my credit card. I was just starting to dial the number on the back of my card when the call came again from the same number so I answered and the lady pulled up my account and asked about some suspect charges. Not a surprise to me because they monitor my card usage and I have gotten calls like that before and appreciate that service. This time the charges really weren't mine so my card did get compromised. The lady said she was going to overnight a new card, credit me for the disputed charges and shut down the current card.
All seemed fine to me but after looking up the number here and seeing some negative posts I decided to call the number on the back of my card to confirm the call was legitimate and they said it was and that the process had already begun to stop the current card and send me a new one just as the lady on the phone stated.
So I have saved this number in my contacts list as a legitimate number. - Mr MikeI had to put a fraud alert on my credit reports due to someone putting a phony new address/mail forward request on me. I was able to stop the forwarding action, and as the post office told me, the thieves went ahead and tried to open credit card accounts under my name, where the card would be forwarded to the new phony address in Florida. This number called to verify if I did want to open a new account (due to my fraud alert with credit bureaus), and I told them to cancel it due to fraud, so yes the number is legitimate.

- Duke| 1 replyMy Visa card is through Fidelity Investments. Maybe they use U.S. Bank. In any case I made several online purchases today and a call from this number arrived. It was an automated verification that read off two recent transactions and asked if these were authorized. They were valid so I pressed "2". The system said "thank you" and hung up. Totally legit.
