I talked to them.  Seems that my great, great Uncle is in line for the throne in Nigeria and in order for him to get the appointment, he has to send me $US 48 miilon for me to hold for him for a while.  He said that I'll get a big cut if I do this, but I have to pay him $500 for some fees or something like that.  Man, this is too good to be true.  And I never knew I had an uncle in Nigeria.

Some days you just get lucky.  Thank god I took his phone call and I'm going to be independently wealthy for the rest of my life now too!!!!!  Yippeeee!!!!!

The above information is the legal owner of this company. It is illegal for telemarketers to call cell phones.

Here is what I want to do. Send them a cease and desist letter by certified mail and also send a process server after them ( should cost me 75 bucks for the process server).

Then I am going to take them to small claims court and sue them for the maximum allowable by law in my state.

I'll bring to court my cell phone records showing that they called numerous times. And the judge will award me a lot of money.

I would think if enough people do this, the company would be inundated with small claims law suits and be forced to stop scamming people and calling illegally.

This is a scam operation. Any company that has to call me out of the blue multiple times as they do is not legitimate and worse, trying to sell me something by breaking the law is unethical.

If I want a grant, I could try grants.gov, but good luck getting one. It's not easy.

I think what this company does is sell a package. A website for my company and a grant search so that if there is a problem and no results with the grant. You can't ask for your money back.

If I want a cheap website, I can easily find hundreds of website developers on Elance.com or Vworker.com

My advise to myself. Don't call these jokers back. Simply file a complaint in small claims court.

I have spoken to my friends who happen to work at the FBI and I was told that a lot of scam companies will record your voice and manipulate the recording so that it sounds like I am saying something different. Hence why I am not going to call them back and say anything.

I am going to use the law as my friend and sue them.

In fact, anytime a telemarketer calls me, I am going to take them to court. Some states small claims courts  allow a claim up to $10,000.

A note to myself. I can look up how to file a small claims in my county online. Many small claims courts have online forms and make it very simple to file a claim.

ANother note to self. I should ask my friends who have also been harassed by telemarketers to post this note on other sites. If all my friends knew this information, we'd collectively put these scams out of business for good.

A Telemarketer would have to think twice about setting up such an operation again.

It's the same with spam. Spam works because there are idiots who purchase Viagra via an email spam. If no one purchased, we'd eliminate spam.

How convenient that you're posting such credible information on grant proposals, on a site and topic, that you would only come across by typing in the exact number people are filing complaints about. I highly doubt you got on the internet machine and started searching for forums on individuals seeking generic info on writing a grant proposal. If that were the case you would be here dropping your contact information, trying to keep your lights on, not sticking up for the supposed competition. I started my business with a lot of hard work, late nights, no pay (for a long time) and the ability to fill out my own forms if need be. Grants are the real deal, but it's nothing you can't figure out by reading a book or three from your local library. Nice try, give me a break and get a life.

Don't think I want to do business with a "company" that doesn't have the business or the money to find a shorter domain name. That's just odd. "Just go to iwanttoapplyforagrantandneedmoreinfo.com, to apply." if you can remember the name.
