i keep on recieving calls from this phone number at my job.
can i call to report a herrassing call?
i do not appreciate getting all these calls.
also they tell me that 4 letters were mailed to my street address i never recieved any letters.
is there any way that this can be investigated as an attempt to collect any debt.

I keep getting calls from this number to my cell phone, but they never leave me a message.  Finally fed up, I googled this number and found several message boards, including this one, many questioning if these are scam artists or fraudulent debts..After some checking into this I think I have figured out why they are calling me.  A former friend of mine gives out my cell phone number whenever she takes out a payday loan.  Different companies call me from time to time asking that I pass a message on to the person as they unable to reach her. I can only assume FFG is the collection agency for one of these payday advance companies.  So if this number calls and mentions something about check verification, its probably about a payday loan that was never repaid.

I have received several calls from a Joseph at FFG with a call back number of 1-866-443-6985 but the number 702-463-7934 shows up on caller ID. The reason given seems to be the same for all the calls this company makes which is “about a check you have written and needing to verify information for security purposes.” I have not called them back and have absolutely no intention of doing so.

The company is Vegalo LLC dba Frontier Financial Group aka FFG Associates. As stated earlier by SmartDiva on 04/20/09, this company is illegally operating as a collection agency. The State of Nevada Department of Business and Industry Financial Institutions Division issued an order to cease and desist unlicensed activities on 04/02/09: http://www.fid.state.nv.us/Notices/2009/Vegalo_LLC.pdf

I spoke with the above named division and was told to file a formal complaint against FFG. They also said if I do speak with someone at FFG, to remind them of the order issued against them. Perhaps the fine this company received isn’t enough to deter their behavior. VEGALO LLC called and stated a suit had been filed against my wife for an uncollected debt. They were rude and obnoxious to her. They have since called twice and hung up after 3 rings. They are named also Frontier Financial, the subject of many lawsuits.

first they text me asking to give them a call,when I called, they said it was a serious legal matter, then asked if I knew someone with a name I am not familiar with, claiming I was listed as a point of contact, they sounded fishy from the start! same words/tone and persona as a sneaky telemarketer; So many scams nowadays, you always have to be careful!!

repeated calls and hang-ups! others have reported this is a bogus collection agency; I suspect they're also con / scam artists with a robo-caller.

Joseph called about a 'legal' matter, a check that ...etc. Unknown name, since I already knew this is a scam I made a police report and then called these con artists to tell them to 'cease and desist' as they were ordered by the state of Nevada.

I recieved a call fromm FFG at 10:25 on Aug 25. George asked if this was the Hill residence and then asked to speak to Dunc. I said there was no one here by that name and asked who he was calling from. He said "A network of attorneys".Caller id showed FFG and the 702 phone number. I called the number back and a woman answered the phone saying " FFG, this is Cathy". I hung up.

harrassment!

I have no idea who this is or how they got my number.

This company, the former FFG issued a cease and desist order in April is now apparently operating again under the same but a little different name according to the State of Nevada   Both FFG's are the same, just changed the address and are a part of a larger scam as I wrote about here:

Mercantila purportedly sold me what was a defective factory defect with a bill me later option that turned out to be some other company in Mewab NJ named Shoppers Charge.  The defective merchandise could not be traced to where it actually shipped from and Mercantila ignored all of my attempts to follow a return protocol, hence I was unable to return the defective product. After several complaints Mercantila lost its license and started up as DriveSpeed at the same purported location in San Francisco that doe not even exist - I live in the area and could not even find that fraudulent address nor was there anyone in that area.  On my credit report my bill later option with Mercantila was named a a revolving charge account of %1500 of which 500 is claimed to be defaulted on by me with DriveSpeed the name Mercantila changed to when it lost its license.  Today, I get a call from FFG claiming they're going to sue me for fraud if I don't settle with them.  Well, I think they are full of it and if they want to go before the judge, let them do it, I would love to have their a__es taken into custody for contempt of court and fraud since I believe this is a reinactment of the scam found in the Eighth District US Court of Appeals case found here http://bulk.resource.org/courts.gov/c/F2/446/446.F2d.960.20541.20546_1.html

This number appears on my cell phone several times a day while I am working so I do not answer it. They never leave a message and it is becoming a henderance.

i have recieved a call from them in the last two days last time they called looking for jessica lynch i told them that is not my name. and he has the wrong person he hung up on me very rude... today i got another call from them about same things i told them my name and he ask if i know her i told him the only jessica lynch i know of was on the news a few years ago when she was held prisoner in iraq i bet they call again tomorrow stupid people

Yes, I received a call from this nubmer also harrassing me about a check, that I never wrote, they have the wrong person and they did not try to apologize, they kept saying I was lying......and I will go to jail.  I finally had to call the District Attorney's office to stop the harassment.

A Brian called my work and harassed me.....He said would things to me...I am not the person they are looking for, how do you stop all the harassing phone calls....I am spoken to an attorney and we are filing a compliant again FFG (Frontier Finance, they are hired through Ace).

these [***] call me everday about someone named terry beck. first from a number in my town and now this number. i finally got pissed off and called them back. a lady answered and i went off on her, then she hung up in me. a week later they call me again so i do it again and get the same lady and yelled at her again this time she said "i will take you off our list"

They are calling my employment asking for HR department and saying they have a wage garnishment authorization.  Ive signed no such thing ever as Im a single parent of 4 and exempt from such.
They started this in January 09 and now starting up again after being reported.  Idiots we are a attorney authorized collection agency

Two individuals called one named Joseph and the other named Mary identifying themselves as working for FFG & Associates and they were calling about a check I had written and needed to verify some information for security purposes. Well, I haven't written a personal check in over a year.

I received a call from Joesph asking me to call him back at 866-443-6985, i have now in the last two hours got two calls at work and one on my cell. when I looked at the caller ID it says 503-564-4702. Seems a little weird. Joesph first of all left a message not stating who he is looking for and said that he is calling to verify some information regarding a check I wrote. I do not have a checking account nor have I qualified for a checking account in over 5 years. He also said that they are FFG and associates. I am going to call them and tell them to stop calling my work, otherwise i dont know what else to do. I know collection laws and they are not allowed to call you at work that many times, they can call your house however as many times as they want as long as it is before 8pm
