who ever this is keeps calling my cell number and never leaves a message.

Calls 4 times a day. If you call the number you have an option to  be put  on the do not call  list and you press 1 but they keep calling.
No message and they stay on the line like a machine telemarketing call.

If you call this number back, you get a message saying that they are sorry for calling, that they only call business's and then they give you directions tn remove your number from thier list.

They have been calling my cell phone 5 - 10 x's a day for weeks now, but when I answer there is nobody there. I called back to try & find out why they kept calling & I got a message saying that they were sorry to bother me, they only called business number's & then gave me directions on how to remove my number from their data base. The only problem is that my number is not being removed. This is costing me a fortune in cell minutes.

I get calls from this number every day, several times a day.  They don't talk when I answer and they don't leave any messages when I don't.

i GET SEVERAL CALLS...THEN CALLS WITH NO MESSAGE...THE ORIGINAL CALL WANTED TO SEND ME A LOT OF MATERIAL...i refused...but the calls continue

They called our office thinking we are a hospital; we aren't.  They were selling some service/scam to help us collect against patients.  They obviously don't have any valid leads and are likely harassing anyone who's number they could get from online directories or free leads, which are far from accurate.  This number belongs to a set of numbers that have harassed our office for years.  They all play (or used to) the message about only purchasing business listings when you call the number back, but this call center sells any scam under the sky, from fake auto warranties to charging you for various services they never intend to perform.  They do not honor any requests to have your number removed- I've tried.

The caller ID leads me to believe this number also is/was used to scam people into further debt aka help them with their mortgages.

I got a call from this number today with the printed name Happy MTGE, which I figurged stood for Happy Mortgage, as peculiar as that name might sound. Doing a search for such a company in Las Vegas, the home of the area code since area codes were introduced proved fruitless.

However, it definitely emanates from L.V, NV

I was phoned on 4/6/09 @ 6:23 P.M.
Phone call message was pertaining to mortgage help. I pushed #1 to be connected to a real person, & when the person came on the line, I told her that I wanted them to remove me from their call list, and that I was on the no-call list.
She said that she would, that I should have a nice day, AND THAT I SHOULD "CHECK YOUR ATTITUDE".
I then asked for her name, She asked me what my name was, I told her, and again asked her w=hat her name was. She answered "Jennifer". I then asked to speak with her supervisor. She hung up the phone, and that triggered my desire to find out which company this is.
