We just got our phone bill, we have a flat rate arrangement, so when we saw the extra charges in excess of $12.00, we were curious. It seems that this is  another scam. We were billed on behalf of Calling 10-15-15-800. Apparently a collect call which we never received. Is there any way of solving this?

Billed for a one-minute call for $5.49 plus fees etc for a total of $7.62. Said call was to DA ASSIST  CH  then the above phone number.  I made no such call.  Strange thing as I looked over the long distance calls that we did make, one known call made by us is for the same date and exact time of day, 9:31 a.m. as this bogus charge.  Was going to contact this company at their website of www.ildtelecom.com, but decided not to and will contact my phone provider instead.

THEY SHOULDN't be allowed to charge if I didn't receive a benefit -- I think I might of tried to call them back.

Charged $5.49 +  admin fees for total of $7.64 on my embarq phone bill. Billed through ILD Teleservices Inc Place called is listed as directory assistance NV Totaaly unaware until phone bill arrived

Another Scam... Every month I have to watch my phone bill. And every month I have to call and bust them on charges that shouldn't be there. The next time I call will be for them to get there [***] out of my house.

My phone bill indicated this was a directory assistance charge to the number 702 555 1212.  It never happened!  I'll be reporting this to my phone company, along with printed copies of reported scams.

I also received the same call in August.  You really need to check all your bills for accuracy.

On phone bill got a charge of $7.54 for what said a Dir Asst NV 888-555-1212. Then it said if you have any questions about the charges call 800-433-4518. ILD Teleservices. I am going to call my phone service provider. I am not sure who else to call.

I just got a bill for $7.14 - supposedly for calling 10 15 15 8000 - (number shown on the phone bill - 702-555-1212) - which we never did.  My long distance carrier is refunding the charge and blocked my line from any further charges.

We just got the same charge on our phone bill.  We recently cancelled our caller ID so we were unable to identify the caller, however we got the same charge on our bill.  10-15-15-800 and 702-555-1212.  We fully intend to call our phone company and have them remove this charge from our bill because there is NO way we are paying this!!!

ppl i understand that your upset about the charges but when you call in with questions but please do not be rude or yell at the ppl trying to help you! its not gonna make it any better if you yell at the person your talking to with calling10 by yelling! we are the ones TRYING to help you were not the same dept that billed you for it! so please dont get upset at the person trying to assist you with the charge.

I too found a fee for $5.49 on my bill from ILD Teleservices INC for Directory Assist from 702-555-1212. I called my phone company CenturyTel and they informed me that this was a third party billing much like a collect call or a psychic hot line call. CenturyTel said that they could not credit the charge that this was a separate co. that I had to call them direct. I scolded CenturyTel for playing a part in the scam. I called ILD and was immediately given a marketing statement from the operator about their long distance directory assistance and the number to call for their services. I told her I was billed for services I did not use. She said that their company would send me a refund CHECK. I told her no, I did not trust her or the company to send me my refund back. She said that she could do an electronic credit back to my phone co. I told her that was what I wanted. I called CenturyTel to see if the credit had been processed and I was told it was not showing up yet on my acct. I was told I could put a third party billing block on my acct for no charge, which i did. By doing so, you cannot accept collect calls or call any company that charges for other services, ie: American Idol, dating, psychic and etc. I cannot believe the FCC allows this to happen. I recommend everyone complaining to the FCC about this scam.

I too got a billing for $ 7.14 on my auto=pay Discover Card for Qwest phone bill--supposedly called         702-555-1212!! We do not even have long distance service on our home phone. Called 1-800-433-4518 and talked to the operator of ILD Telesevices and was IMMEDIATELY offered to rescind  the charge and they would mail me a check ( who knows when I will get it ) for the un-authorized charge on my Discover Card bill ( which I must pay when due to protect my "good" credit!!I too am surprised that Qwest would even be a party to this "scam?"

If this is an answer to a situation of an unauthorized billing ( just as I got)I say that yelling is the only way to get this " scam" eliminated!!

I got the $7.14 directory assistance charge too from ILD on behalf of CALLING 10 15 15 800.  After finding all the complaints on the internet, I filed online complaints with the FTC, FCC, and CA Public Utilities Commission.  It's Saturday night, so I won't be able to contact AT&T until Monday to see if they will correct this. How annoying. It's unbelievable that they still do this in spite of FTC fines over many years.
