Caller ID said ACA for me.  When calling, they say they are ARGON --  a debt collector.  It appears that they call people with similar names, but don't bother to verify ssn, addresses or middle names.  Often, the probably call the number by mistake.

Automatic phone call on Saturday, July 18, 2009. Knew my name and recording asked to press 1 for Identification. Simply hung up, I take no calls from machines... humans are despicable enough.

Called me; knew my name; asked if I had opened a checking account with wachovia; I asked what the call was about. They said they wanted to know if I had gotten my check card in the mail. I am not due to recieve any cards. When I inquired they thanked me and hung up. Could have been a scam or frustration due to language barrier. Guy was obviously not american.

Message was left recording, the guy called out my first name, then it went to if you know this person press 1, and so on. I'm sure its a scam and probably want banking information. This crap just never seems to stop

Left message. Claimed to be attempting to collect a debt from someone I've never heard of.

I called someone in the 702 area code, and less than an hour later, I got a call from 702-853-1703. It was a machine talking, so I hung up. I don't know what the scam was, but I do NOT know anyone at that number.

This is Aargon Collection Agency. A particularly nasty place. By the way if you try to call the 800 number they leave it'll typically go busy.

someone called my home number from this number swearing that at 7:43 AM PDT, someone broke into my home while I was away and called him. Gave me the name of someone I've never heard of.

left a message at 0843 on Saturday. Called back... got nothing

We don't answer numbers we don't know so I let it go to the answering machine. They went all hhe way through our recording and then hung up.

automated call on a saturday afternoon. left message on my machine. they said my first name and the rest was automated. wanted me to call back at an 800 number and stated that it was a collection agency and i needed to pay my debt. funnny, I don't owe anyone as I got all collections paid two years ago to buy my house.

They keep calling me -- I wish I could go "Vigilante" on them because this is really starting to p*** me off!!

702-853-1703 has called numerous times over the past several months for my ex-husband with whom I have no contact. I've told them repeatedly to stop. I've reported several times to donotcall.gov, but no one stops them.

When did normal people become such targets for scum like this? Why do we have no rights, and scum have all of the rights?

These [***] called me at 10am this morning after I worked all night and had finally fallen asleep. I was too angry to answer (especially since i didn't recognize the number) so I let the call go, but no message was left. Glad to see I'm not alone in my frustration.

i have had this # for almost 3 years, this collection agency keeps calling wanting to speak w/Lisa  I have told them I am not this person and they tell me I am lying. I have spoken w/many "managers" and they assure me they will take # off list...today another call..I do not want to change my # because I have to much $$$ invested business cards !!!!

It does no good to tell them they have the wrong information. I've owned this number for 10 years -- they keep asking for a person with a foreign name that I can't even pronounce. Obviously the latest thing to do is, give out the wrong phone number when you go into debt.

I agree w/ eyeroll.  I have the same issue, and it's someone named Willie that they keep trying to reach at my phone number I've had for 8 years.  I've opted to turned my ringer off and check my caller id when it lights up as a call is coming in.  I grew tired of telling this caller and their foreign accent that I wasn't Willie.

Seven calls over the last month. Seven times I told them my name was not Kenneth. Seven times they told me they would remove my number from their database. Still ain't happened!!!!! This has got to end. Would someone named Kenneth please call them!!!
