This is a collection agency known as Aragon Collection Agency or Aragon Agency out of Las Vegas. It is against the law for them to call anyone after 9pm local time. See prior post for their address and how to sue them. You can win $1000 per violation and your atty fees will be paid by the loser (Aragon). I also like the idea of calling them back frequently and then hanging up on them. Especially an 800 number. They have to pay for all those calls. Lets see them claim harassment against that when they practice harassment everyday!

Here are these [***] collection agency 800 numbers. Call often and more.
1-800-990-4765 and 1-800-760-9745. Call at 3am and get the answering machine then hang up after and then call again. They will be charged for the minutes used. Keep calling them until they are put out of business.
Also, send them faxes to 1-800-293-9395 demanding that they do not call you anymore pursuant to FDCPA law. Send it over and over and over until they respond in writing. This is how you shut down these scumbags.

Yup yup. They've been calling me for about a year now looking for someone with a different first name; a name that is a different gender from mine. It's rather funny; my last name is Smith. Are they calling all 3 million Smiths in the US looking for that one who owes them 50c? There's another 600,00 in England, perhaps they should call them too.

I'm glad there's there's a forum for finding out about these fools. I gave up answering the phone before the telemarketing law went into effect, so it's no big deal to me. They're like a street beggar; annoying, persistent, and useless, but why waste time on them?

have called me twice or so a week for the last couple months.
they call asking for my name. and tell me to press 1 if im this person press 2.. etc.. im 19. and i have no debt/creditcards or anything. especially in nevada. i live in CO. my dad is a laywer so i let him know about it. will report back later

I got a phone call from them about ten minutes ago and the message was static. I looked the number and got this website. Thanks, I'll them to f' off they next time they call.

they keep calling for someone i have no idea who they are and they always call in the middle of the night and odd time during the days and i keep telling this fu..erz that the person they are tyring to contact does not own this phone..after almost twenty times..they still call...is there a place where i can report this nonsense!!!!

I guess what stays in vegas, does stay there.  Thought a one night stand was trying to borrow money from me.  no such vain luck.  just a debt collector, collecting on a debt i expunged 8 years ago.

Yes these people are outta control. The caller is Aragon Collection Agency aka Aragon Agency in Las Vegas NV. They are a debt collector for UMC Hospital in NV and other NV companies. They are obviously stupid and stubborn calling wrong numbers and debts already paid or too old or bankrupted over and over again. So DO SOMETHING!

It is illegal for a collector to call a cellphone and leave prerecorded messages unless you have a prior relationship with that business. This is how to fight back. If they are calling your cell send a certified letter to them stating they you deny any alleged debt and demanding they cease and desist all contact pursuant to FDCPA law. Also report them to the FTC at their website or by phone or mail. If they continue to call, and they will, save all their messages and contact an attorney who specializes in debtor/credit or consumer law. You can sue them for $1000 per violation of FDCPA and $500 per unauthorized call on your cell. See Aragon.com for these jerks address and info. See also budhibbs.com for sample cease and desist letter and ftc.gov for filing complaint. Then research consumer or debt/credit attorneys or naca.net for lawyers who will sue for you. Dont be afraid unless you actually owe the debt and it is not too old. It is up to you to DO SOMETHING or this kinda crap will continue. Good luck all.

They keep calling for someone who doesn't live here, and no matter what I say, the jerks keep calling. I've asked them repeatedly to take this number off their list, and they keep calling. Asked to speak with a supervisor and they hangup.

for the passed 3 months this place has called me on multiple occasion i have asked for proof of this so called debt i owe and they give me the run around saying i owe x amount. That it would be easier if i went to there website that doesnt seem to exist. They call me all hours of the day, why i am at work, home, or other places. Still trying to figure how they got my work phone when the number is private let alone been changed on several occasions and only clients have this number. They where rude to my wife when they called and she answered my phone while i was out of town for a few weeks they said it was none of her business and that it was a matter of business between your husband and our company. I am fed up with them

automated phone call, leaves message for me and does not tell me who, what for or why. tired of the annoying phones calls.

I just got it a few minutes ago. I hung up on them but I don't think they'll call again. Hopefully not. I have my number on the Do not call list too.

It is illegal for this company to call me on Easter Sunday ( April 12, 2009) during dinner with my family?? Can they be blocked on my telephone??? Their phone calls have become nothing but harassment!

Left a pre recorded message also with a 1800 number to call them back at! I have no idea who they are and why they are calling me.... they also called me for the first time today Easter Sunday of all days! I will be calling them back tomorrow since all you get is a n answering machine today... why do they even bother to do the pre recorded calling if you can't talk to a live person? I think its a bunch of bs myself!!!!

I'm forever getting recorded phone messages from this outfit.  Of course I never respond or call back.  I don't talk to computers.

ACA, calls on a regular basis. I did answer at one point because they finally got the name right instead of (gargled something). They asked for my husband and they told me they couldn't give any personal information out. I said if you have personal information for my husband, I believe I have the right to know what it is. They told me he had a 30,000 debt from a hospital bill. Stating that he stayed in the hospital in 2005 for three nights. For one..if anyone knows a male, they will not go to the hospital willingly! My husband has never stayed over night in a hospital. Worse part of this all, they put it on his debt just this year. If it is so true then why wasn't it put on there 3 years ago or 4? Very much bogus and it's getting old!
