no answer

Received several calls from this #, all went to voicemail but no message was left.  Finally today I was home to pick up the call. The caller asked for (the name I'm listed under in the phone book) and started in on a spiel for -- as noted above -- some vaguely named children's charity.

I'm going to mark this as "Non-Profit Organization", but, in truth, I received no solid proof that the caller actually works for who she said she worked for, so, my advice is: "caller beware".

I think this is a scam.  They've called several times.  Once on Christmas eve and more recently past 9pm.  Beware and never, no matter how legit you think a call is, give out personal information over the phone.

We get 2 or 3 calls per day from this number.  There NEVER is anyone on the other end if I answer.  The line simply goes dead after a short time.

Callerid says "VIRGINIA"

Even though my number is registered on the National Do Not Call List I get a call from this number every day.  Like others, no one answers the call when we pick up.  I would like to see these people get fined for violating the NDNCL.

It is the Children's Cancer Fund. I just called them back and asked them to remove me from the list. I did give to them a few years ago.

We get calls from this number and when we pick up no one answers us. Please stop callling us.
