A guy identifying himself as Josh Heckler wanted to speak to my boss.  I asked the name of his company, but he said, "It's a civic matter, I'd need to speak to him directly."

Elsewhere here at 800notes.com, this "civic matter" approach seems to be coming from organizations soliciting donations to local police-related organizations.  These soliciting companies, however, have a well-known reputation for passing only a very small percentage of the donations to the police organization that they claim to represent..
