called 3 times already this morning

Refused to identify company.  But demands personal information.  Is that legal.  My home has been broken in after a similar call.

This happend to me also, they are very insistent.

Calls daily.  No message, No ID.

Call too often, how can we block them? So anoying!!

Said it was congressman Carter and were we upset about the oil prices and goes dead.

Has called the last two days.

Calls and hangs up at least once or twice daily. They never leave a message with me or speak to me.

Calling me and hanging up is not an attempt to collect a debt.

This number calls me at least 3-4 times each and every day even on weekends. They say they are West Asset Management trying to collect a debt for Sprint and are very insistent on getting payment information.

How can you make these calls stop?

I get calls from this number on a daily basis and I get 3-4 calls a day even on the weekend. They won't stop calling even when you tell them not to call you again they continue to call.

Calls multiple times a day up to 10 times in one day

They refuse to stop calling me. They say it's my problem, not theirs. They call me three or four times a day looking for someone else at this address and tell me that since I can't give them another number to call, they will keep calling mine. Jerks.

THEN !  ...  THIS APPLIES TO DEBT COLLECTORS AND TELEMARKETING ALSO AND SALES ... TELL THEM YOU KNOW THE FDCPA THEY WILL STOP CALLING THEN, BUT I SAY GET LAYWER !

This number was calling 2-3 times per day and would not leave a message. If you keep getting calls from this number call(888) 433-2886 and ask for the legal department.  This is the business's main number and under legal threat they can take you off their list. We will see if the calls stop.

call 3 -4 times a day, no message and when i pick up they don't say anything. they are driving me crazy!!! what can be done??!??!

I installed an answering machine on my telephone so that I can see what comes up on my caller id.  I kept the default message so that nothing is in my voice, but modified it.  I found the 3 tones that indicate that a number has been disconnected.  I recorded the original message from the answering machine to my computer using a microphone and Windows "Sound Recorder".  I then opened the three tone .wav file and played it to the end (only a second or so).  I then used the "Insert File" option under the file menu to append the original recording and saved the file with a new name.  Finally, I recorded this message on my answering machine.  Eventually, the computers that autodial your number will detect that your telephone has been disconnected and the calls will diminish, or if you are very lucky, stop for at least a little while.

Sure, you can buy a "Telezapper" or something similar, but why spend the extra money when you already own everything you need (except the cheap answering machine).  And if you don't have a mic, you can get one anywhere for just a few dollars.

can you put in *57 for harassment calls. after 3 times it gets reported to the police?
