Called me three times this week.  No one on the other end.  I called them back and got a recorded message saying they were the American Diabetes Association.  They said if I wanted my phone number taken off their list to press 1, enter my phone number, and it would be taken off in 30 days.  We'll see.  If they are legit, why don't they answer the phone?

Thanks for your posting.  They have called me too within the last 3 days 6 times.  I called the number and received the same information.  We'll see what happens.

I got a call from this 703-398-0004 at 6:41pm today (6/9/2008).  Answered but nobody on the other end.  Caller shown as "unknown" but number listed.  Why are they calling all these people on the do not call list?

I have gotten numerous calls from this number the past few months.  They always hang up. Now that I see from prior posts that it is the American Diabetes Assocation, it explains the "Diabetes Action Kit" I received in the mail the other day.  Since they could not reach anyone here, they just mailed it out without my consent, assuming I wanted to solicit donors for their "Community Campaign for a CURE."  Needless to say, while it is not that I wouldn't want to help, the audicity to assume such, landed the kit a run through my shredder!  I am also on the "Do not call" list, but perhaps I am exempt from that since I have given to them in the past as an "in lieu of flowers" gift.  That still does not give them the right to assume.

For the past few months I have been getting calls for a Nick Mark and recently, calls from someone who hangs up. I checked out both reverse numbers and like the others get nowhere to stop them. I reported the Nick Mark calls to Verizon and was told the only way I can keep from getting the calls was to sign up with Verizon for a No Call List at four dollar and some cents each month. I am already on a no call list so why do I have to get on another? I am beginning to think the phone companies are behind this to push their own No Call list service. I can't believe these big companies have no way of putting these sickos out of business.IT IS PURE AND DELIBERATE HARASSMENT.

I have been receiving a call from this number almost every day and no one leaves message.  I'm on the National and State (Wisconsin) No Call list and want absolutely NO solicitation calls!

The last rogue call from 703-398-0004 was at 11:55AM on Saturday, June 21.

Why is the *general public* in the USA required to tolerate harrassing solicitation calls?  Thank goodness for CallerID so I don't have to answer the phone before knowing who the caller is or may be.

Received a call from someone who asked for me by name.  I asked who it was, they identified, I began to beg off, but they rudely talked over that to say they are calling to see if I would be willing to distribute a packet of 17 letters to my neighbors.  I began to beg off again and he hung up.

I received a call today, picked up on the third ring and no one was there... so i waited a few more seconds and someone finally said "hello", which leads me to believe they have an automatic dialer and just say hello when they think someone has picked up. I am also on the do not call list, but there are exceptions for charitable organizations... they are allowed to make calls for fund raising and the such which is still wicked annoying if you are on the do not call list.

what made me investigate the number was i said the person they called for was unavailable and asked who was calling or if i could take a message and they said no....

i better call to be taken off their list! thanks all!

I also have been receiving calls every day from this number and am on the do not call list. You work several jobs to pay the bills and all you want is peace and quiet when you get home, but nooooooooo, you have the phone ringing all through dinner and people knocking at your door. I'm thinking I want to disconnect the phone, TV, and the Computer. Every year we pay more for these services and get more interuptions. When will it all end?

I finally answered the phone last week and there was someone on the other end who said they were from the Diabetes Assoc. They wanted me to send out letters to my neighbors collecting money for their cause. I said I have Diabetes, that I will continue to donate, if I know its a legit group but that I did not appreciate them calling me everyday, to take me off their list and please do not call me again. She said she would and I haven't heard from them since. I work 4 jobs and don't want to be ans. the phone everynight. Hope this helps you.

Did a reverse look-up, say this is a cell number not a land line.
I would think the American Diabetes Association would have a listed number.

Answered phone and after a delay, man's voice said calling for the Diabetes Association and this was not a solicitation for funds.  I just hung up as I am on the Do Not Call list.
