How do you know it is a telemarketing agency?

this number called at almost 9pmest. no msg i thought u could not call a residency after 7pm. i an also on the do not call list is there a way to stop them from calling

703-398-0839 keeps calling the house phone and when we answer they hang up. Sometimes I get 4 or 5 calls in one day from this number. It is getting pretty ignoring

I get a call once a day everyday in the afternoon from this number. I always pick up, they ask for the same person and when I say they are unavailable, they say thank you and hang up. I have no clue what this is about, but if it were charity you would think they would talk to anyone. I don't think it's charity.

Just got a call.  They asked for my husband and when I said he wasn't home they said thank you and hung up.  I called the phone number and got a recording that said it was "strategic telemarketing" and they call on behalf of either charities or political campaigns.  It then gave instructions to enter your phone number in and they would place you on their do not call list.  So I did it.

NRA is the National Rifle ASSoc. they call my home 2-3 times a day.

Get a call from this number every night at about 8:30 p.m.  Called it back and got a recording  asking for our number to be put on their do not call list.  Entered it, we'll see if they call back.

Called every day for several weeks. Finally answered the phone. The caller identified himself as the National Rifle Assoc. and tried to get me to talk about hunting (?). He then asked me to imagine what would happen if Hillary were elected. He was rude throughout the call and tried to pretend he was my friend. I asked why he was so familiar with me, and he got angry. I love to play a game with telemarketers-- see how long I can make them stay on the line. This guy made me want to run out and vote for Hillary.

Kept getting calls from this number-- they never leave a voice message.  I called back and got their recording.  I left my numbers for opt out.  We'll see if it works.  If not, I'll do the "string along" game on their next call and see how much of their time I can waste.

According to Verizon Reverse phone lookup, (703) 398-0839 is a cell phone based in Dale City, VA. The registered service provider is Sprint Spectrum L.p.

This number is ridiculous!!! They call almost 2-3x a week, at 9pm on the dot...I never answer and they never leave a message...they must love to her my answering machine!

When I answered the phone, they asked to speak with my husband.  When I told them he wasn't available and offered to take a message, they hung up.  I called the number back and got a recording identifying the number as "strategic marketing" fundraising.  After the brief message, it gives you the opportunity to put your number on their do not call list which I did.  We'll see if it works.

Nothing is said, Silence on phone, Inappropriate times, three times everyday for the past week. Cut it out. STOP CALLING, I DON"T WANT IT! I DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY! STOP CALLING!

I posted a comment on here about this number (703-398-0839) April 25.  Obviously, their 'do not call list' needs work.  On April 25, I was supposedly put on their 'do not call list' but they've called back several times since then.  They don't leave messages when the machine answers.  I tried to call the number back today, but it just gives a busy signal.

I got a call from this number and they asked for me by name. When I said "yes, this is he" THEY HUNG UP!!!  What kind of legitimate business would do that?!!!

I called the number back several times over the past hour and all I get is a recording that says "lines are temporarily busy, try again later".

I smell a scam. Maybe a professional skip tracing or debt harassment company?
