Unknown caller, with Caller ID that says only "Out of area." However, a quick call-back got a prerecorded message that the caller had been calling to raise funds, most likely for political parties. The SAME message and the SAME male voice have been used in more than 158 different calls seemingly from about 26 different numbers across the United States (from Virginia to California) in the past several months, just from my experience. (The numbers in Caller ID, though, could be spoofed and perhaps all from the same boiler room of desperate workers calling everywhere in the country.) No matter: Feel free to block all such numbers. (To find free online services that intercept and disconnect robocallers and other spammers, do a search on “stop robocalls” and choose one.)
