Active Health Management-Called on behalf of my employer, part of the wellness thing. Take it for what it is. I never answered.

Received a call.  Didn't answer.

Received a call 1103 mst - hung up when i answered

Keep getting calls.  Return the call, but receive a 'Call Cannot Be Completed' message.

This number belongs to Active Health Management, who are hired by insurance companies to 'manage' your insurance benefits... i.e. you either let them mess with you every 90 days or you lose 80% of your insurance.  This specific number is an automated service that calls (potentially repeatedly) when they first try to contact you, then 24 hours *before* your new nurse/best-friend/thug is going to call you for each talk.

But the thing is, this is a legitimate benefit, not a sales call at all.  It truly is a benefit, and while we are all naturally leary of anonymous calls, legitimate calls can still be confused with them, when they are new to us.  I have been talking with my Active Health Nurse, and she is professional, knowledgeable, and it is a real benefit, quite apart from keeping the insurance down.  Would I talk to her if it did not?  Possibly not, but at least approach it in a fair, rather than a hasty way.  It is a valid call, and I have absolutely no personal stake in their company.
