Indian accent - man seemed to be a job recruiter. I accepted the call because I am currently job hunting. he had my resume but I couldn't understand what site he got it from. after answering question related to a position, he asked detailed info to verify exact name spelling, address current income, then here comes the whopper, He wanted the last 4 of my social security number to create a "database entry" on me. I called him out as being a fraudulent call, he said he would sent an email with the job info... as proof... lol, I have not received an email as expected.... never give out your SS number! good luck.

Some Fortune 500 companies who hire contract positions require last 4 digits of candidate's SSN to be entered in their database. Yeah it was too quick from that recruiter to ask you for SSN without giving job info first. Once candidate have interview with the main company for contract position, it would be natural to give them SSN. But as Zelllis mentioned I concur never give your SSN to one who you nothing about.
