received a  call from this number wanting me to deliver a message to my neighbor, whom they have been trying to get a hold of. A new collection practice?????

that is weird i got the same call from the same number. where abouts are you located? i am in Emporium PA.

I got a call from this number today 6/13/2012 saying a person by a name I have never heard of had given me as a reference and this person had been told that I was allowed to give info about this person I did not know. I asked where did this person live and they gave me the name of the town and state which was in a town nearby but I STILL did not know the name. They again asked my name. I gave it, usually I don't but I wanted them to see they had the wrong number.  She then said, I'm sorry for bothering you. Now I'm wondering about giving them my name because I see this number is from Canada???  Makes no sense.

These are debt collectors. You can't speak with them. This practice should be against the law. They tell lies.

Got a call from this number early in the morning today on a NATIONAL HOLIDAY? Seriously? Can they call on holidays?

They left a message stating their name, phone number, and reference number and asked for me by name but did not state what business they were calling from. Caller ID says Ontario Canada.

They called me! Good to know it's a scam. A voice said to call 87794119 with a reference number.

Got call from these people looking for my husband, also caller ID said Ontario, Canada.  Said they were looking for my husband by name, gave an 877# to call back at but no company identified.  If these are legitimate collection people they would identify what company/business they work for.

This number just called and all she did was give her name and to call by 8pm to 877-994-9115. Gave no person she was looking for or any idea what the call was about.

Called, had my name, asked for info about a friend. They have his name is well. I gave no info, but I asked what number they had for him. She stated that for privacy reasons she could only verify the number. I made up a random phone number and she stated that it WAS the same number she had. This is OBVIOUSLY A SCAM. BEWARE.

Caller Type: Spam

No doubt they are watching. Someone called saying, "Hi! Is this Anton Chigurh?" My FAX machine, through which my phone is connected, cut them off in mid sentence. I proceeded to 800notes to confirm that my FAX machine had exercised exquisite judgment and timing.

They called again asking about someone they claimed was my brother,  who they claimed "put me down as a reference. " A reference for what, exactly? I had nothing to tell them. No one ever asked me for a reference. I wouldn't agree to that.

Calling from GM Financial.. calls repeatedly throughout the day- doesn't leave company name on voicemail, but says it when you call call back at the number they leave.

These idiots called me too today, looking for an elizabeth beacher who no longer has the number because i have had it for a little over a year and a half now. caller id said unknown name coming through

They were calling me saying I was a reference for my nephew.  Would not give me any other info. I don't give out information to strangers.  They called twice. The other number was 705-876-5324
