These people left a message for my ex-husband on my phone. I've now been divorced for almost 9 years. When I returned the call out of fear that my ex-husband was up to something, they were evasive. I asked what CRA stood for and the person wouldn't tell me. She said they handled mediation. I asked for what type of dispute. She replied, "all types." My cell phone died so I called back.  I asked if the company was registered to do business in my state. She transferred me to someone, Ms. Hawk, I believe Eventually I ended up speaking to a man who said he was a partner in the company, which I had previously been told was a corporation and not a partnership, and told me he was going to call the police on me if I continued to ask questions. He told me CRA was registered to do business in my state and all over the country. I asked in what state CRA's principal place of business was, he accused me of threatening him and his livlihood. I asked him why my question about the structure of his business entity threatened his livlihood and told him most business people would not be threatened by such a question. After all I said, such information is generally published on any state's secretary of state website. He then told me everyone in the office feared for there lives and he was calling the police on me. That was over an hour ago, and I'm still not in cuffs. I looked up CRA on my state's secretary of state website. I saw someone reserved the name CRA in 2003, but nothing has been acted upon since then. They are not a corporation in good standing, at least in my state under the name CRA. However, it could be some sort of partnership that's not required to register with the sec. of state. All I know is these people are shady and I'll bet they're breaking a few laws. Oh, he also tried to scare me by saying that the conversation was being recorded. I told him I didn't care and I don't. If anyone heard it, he would sound like a creepy crooked creep! Beware of CRA. But, if you do deal with them, call you state's secretary of state's office and find out how to complain!
