Called, didn't leave a message.  I've been getting a lot of calls from "the police" or "the sheriff"  - all with CA cities noted and not in my area code - not even close.  Have to pick the phone up because of work but that situation has ended but the CA call from the cops still come in.   Now I can just not pick up and then block.  I suspect this is the same.  I always just hung up on them in the past and only say "hello" and then 'who is this" and soon as I hear police - just hang up, block and delete.
