Sent text message trying to scam my business to send him food and he would sent a courier to pick it up. It is a scam!

I am a caterer they said they would send a truck to pick up the food it was a scam try to get my bank account information

I get about 1 of these texts a week! Not only do I need to deal with all the telemarketers, but now with these scumbags. Always pay attention to the semantics and you'll know they're scammers.

I too have had these stupid scammers call or email for years. They always want chicken. We cater Cajun crawfish boils.

Just received a text message wanting me to cater. Wanted to give me a payment through text. I won't take card payments over the phone. Also wanted to know what payment processing I use. I told them to bring it in so I could take a payment. They said they can't. They haven't texted back. They texted that their name was Mary Lawrence.

I got a ton of text from them! When they asked for my bank name I simply told them I wouldn't give out that info. They told me to text them when I got back to the store and they would give me card number to charge it to. I texted them to get them to call me or text their info and haven't heard back from them.

I also got a text message from this number. We are also caterers. They wanted us to do a birthday party on Dec 9th. I did not know this number or a Mary Lawrence so I googles the number...and found this site. I texted them that we are not available for scams.

We also got a text wanting catering for Dec 9th for a "surprise party" . They wanted chicken and Cesar salad. We are a Mexican food company. She would give us an address, she insisted on picking up the food and paying us in full with credit card or Clover over the phone.

We got the same mesg. Weird

Same thing- all the way down to Santa Rosa and please cater BBQ chicken for my mom's surprise birthday December 9th 50 people : Grilled chicken with Caesar salad and coke or pepsi products. Told "her" we don't accept credit cards and then promptly blocked the number. What is sad to me is that if they are still doing it that means it IS working and some people are getting scammed. Usually they do the payment, tell you they want to go over a bit on the tip and can you give some of the extra $ to the driver who picks up the food. Then two weeks later your credit card processor lets you kow the charge was kicked back and you are out the $ you fronted as well as the cost of the food. Really pisses me off and saddens me that some folks fall for it. I have reported to police before but was told (years ago) no way to trace- before or after. Gross scumbags.

Caller TEXT me first and wanted to pay for 7 massages for his employees. After a couple of text messages something didnt seem right so I called the person. Mary had a very deep voice for starters and he wouldnt not answer what company he is with etc. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!

yep, its a spam, called about massage for many people... reported to FBI and Interpol

Wanted to set up massages for her 7 daughters and that a driver would drop them off because she was in the hospital and could you charge an extra fee of 1,850 and give it to him on the day of

This person claiming to be "Mary" Text me wanting to set up Massage appointments for her 7 employees as a surprise. I called "her" wanting to get more info, turns out to be a man with a very heavy accent. He Did not want to answer any of my questions like where he was located and what business he was with. He eventually hung up on me.. probably suspected that I caught on to his scam!!  SCAM!!! Do not him give any of your info!

Texted wanting massages for seven employees.  I have seen a number of variations on this fake request, which are all so annoying because they all begin corresponding in such a way (with normal questions any prospective customers might ask) that you can't just ignore them off the bat.  :-(
