This number called before 9 am and then an automated voice came on and asked me to hold because my call was "very important to them."  The automated voice said this three times and  then it disconnected me.  

I don't know who this is, I don't knwo what company it is, but I've already reported it.  Hopefully if other people do the company that is using the number will be fined.

received call at 9:32am on my cellphone.  I didn't answer & they didn't leave voicemail message.  returned call from landline & automated message stated I reached CRA.  I immediately hung up & am trying to find out how to block on my cellphone the numerous calls from debt collectors I have been receiving & these are not even my debts.  I don't know how they got my cellphone # since I have registered my # on the "Do Not Call" list.

i got a call from this number this morning around 9 Am too. I did talk to a lady named Ms. Bramelett from some place called CRA. She asked for a relative of ours. I tould her he did not live here and I asked who she was and what did she want.
She said it was "URGENT" that some one was trying to get him to sign some papers and she didn't know if he knew what he was doing and need me to get in touch with him immediately. I told her he lived a 100 miles from me and we do not communicate. She was extreamly pushy!! SHE THEN GAVE ME A NUMBER FOR HIM TO CALL HER BACK AT..877-311-7784. I then asked how did she get my number and she said it was a reference number..I told her to take it off and not to call me any more. I then went on line and found you guys. If this is from a debt collector they should be punished for scaring people like this and I hope they do!

These people are also liars. Thay call and call and call. they are tryin to find someone I don't even know. Just don't answer. They apparently use many area codes to throw people off.

I just missed a call from them, the didn't leave a voice mail. When I returned the call I was disconnected, wtf?

These knuckleheads have been calling my house looking for someone with the same last names as my wifes maiden name.

Last guy just now really got me pissed because he called me stupid, and told me I did't know what I was talking about.  

That I wait around for the number pick-up really pisses me when during my business hours only to find out its a [***]....

So threatened this guy with a promise to contact Attorney General Blumenthal of State Of CT.

They I did reverse look up and found this 877-311-7784 number tied to the auto robot calling number that I have been getting frequently (713-429-4169).

Some women named Christina answers after I waited a while, and they will not tell anything other than that they are looking for someone and are just randomnly calling numbers but are performing a "skip-trace".  At that point, they still wont' tell you what they do, just that they are CRA International, but you can deduce from the "skip-Trace" they are some sort of bill collection group.  Even better when you asked them what they want, they say that unless I am the person they are looking by Fedral Law they cannot tell me.  So I said well, by Federal Law I am not going to tell you anything other than to say your harrassing me and to remove my phone number otherwise I will call the Attorney General Richard Blumenthal and complain of harrasment and abuse.

Christina continued to play verbal patty cake and blame me for not letter her speak which she wasn't speaking but cutting me off repeatedly when I would ask her who they were, and she would say CRA bla blah blah...and wouldn't tell me what they do or wanted, but insisted she had the right to call my number to perform a "skip trace" on the person they are looking for.

Now I would have to say that by federal lasw she has broken the law by saying they are performing a skip trace on the name they gave me.  this is detrimental and an accusation that may or may not be true.   Whose to say but she broke the law, and that is what I am going to report to the Attorney General.  If I say the person is not here or doesn't live here, they should stop talking and say sorry, hand up and remove the number, and not tell a complete stranger they are looking for someone whom they have a skip-trace out on.  And since it cannot be good to have a skip trace out on you, I think they are breaking federal law by telling me, a complete stranger this information?.

Anyway CRA is a completly illegal operation, harrassing innocent people simply because of their last names, and their ability to purchase phone lists, so they need to clean up their act.

Personnally I still intend to write to the Attorney General of CT to complain, and if I get another call from these folks...I will do a lot more than tell this women who closed our rather heated exchange with "have a nice day", F>>K Y>U.

I got "their" address and they use the Houston Rockets arena for their address.

I got an email from my ex, today, whom I've been divorced from for 25 years who told me that he was receiving automated calls from this number on various days around 9:30 a.m.eastern time asking for me.  This automated call says that if I am available, press 1, if I am not available, press 2.  They ask for me using my maiden name and new married name (in other words, we don't even have the same last name now and never have since the divorce)  I am completely baffled (and annoyed) by how my ex could even be on any call list that may involve me or what these people even want.  I think it is a scam.

This is the 6th number these mother f'ers have used to call me! I have told them they have the wrong number to quit calling and they just call back from another number! My mother-in-law passed away this week and we have been getting calls from relatives and I have had to answer calls from these [***] 6 times today from different numbers! I answer the calls because I don't know if it's a relative calling for information on the arrangements ...this is MY CELL PHONE WHICH I PAY FOR AS A LUXURY AND NO ONE SHOULD BE ABLE TO CALL IT UNLESS I GIVE THEM MY NUMBER!

Debt collector....has tons of other phone number they use to call you and harrass..and they also use illegal tactics.

Same here, I got the call today. They wldnt give me much info. The funny thing is I'm not in debt n the number they called me on is not in my name nor in any way tied to me, yet they kno to call me on my number, very suspicious! We shld all be carefull, we may all have sumthin else in common besides so called debt! NWO is coming

Thank you for the number! I called them and they were wanting some one I had no idea who they were. They were extremely rude and accused ME of being this person. I just got my phone number 6 months ago and was told it hadnt been used for well over a yr. When I asked nicely to please take my number off of their list the man was rude and hung up on me. Wonder how we make a complaint and where too?
