- DanCalled to offer a small business grant. Sounded legitimate as the number, outgoing message and routing system seemed official. They represented themselves as HUD Exchange representatives (Debra and Rebecca with Indian accents). They then asked me to go to Walmart with whom they partner to expedite the process. Once at Walmart, I was asked to purchase iTunes gift cards in the amount of $350 dollars and provide them with the redemption codes, so they could have a FedEx agent arrive to verify, reimburse me for the fees and provide all the grant documentation. After hastily complying, I immediately realized it was a scam and i should have known better. They are very convincing and the cards were redeemed in less than 2 minutes. No further communication.

- JoyceI, too, have received numerous calls from the "Federal Housing Urban and Development Grant Department" regarding a free grant of almost $55,000 including reimbursing me for money I already sent but, because "Debra Stokes" did not complete the transaction, they were adding that to my "free new checkbook and debit card" with a new bank account number they were setting up for me. I keep asking them to send me a letter on their letterhead to prove who they are but, after two years of messing around with them, I have yet to get a letter. Plus I keep asking to speak to someone who speaks English well enough to understand, but I keep getting the East Indian (?) people who I can't understand. Shame on me for biting into this SCAM!!!!! I keep hoping that they will call the wrong person someday and get what is coming to them--JAIL TIME, but lots of luck with that. This is not just a suspicion, Federal Trade Commission!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is real.

- MaudieNumerous calls. Says my grant (?) is about to expire. I was to take $350 to Walmart, buy a card, call them with the card numbers, and they would give me a grant of $48,000.50. THANK GOODNESS my daughter saw through the scam and stopped me before making the biggest mistake of my life! I am low-income, 92 years, and no savings. $350 could mean the difference between eating or not. THIS IS A SCAM! HANG UP! DON'T LISTEN TO THEIR SPILL OR YOU'RE GONNA GET SUCKED IN AS I DID..
