- Jim Rockford| 1 replyApparently, as others may have already posted, the (non-legit) Breast Cancer Research & Awareness Fund is one of several (supposed) charity projects associated with Good Charity, Inc. and the "charity's" President was a former employee of Insight Teleservices. Good Charity's 2014 tax documents show functional expenses of $4.2 million of which $2.2 million went to Insight Teleservices. Of the $4 million raised by Insight, $1.9 million was retained by Good Charity and $900,000 of that went to Salaries/Other Employee Expenses which means only $1 million went to actual charitable purposes.
- Caller: Breast Cancer Research & Awareness Fund
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- ScamWatcher replies to Jim RockfordAdding to Rockford's post, of the $1 million, Good Charity distributed only $76,000 to federal grant recipients and that amount was variably split amongst 9 organizations/government and they gave another $32,000 Direct Financial Assistance to 43 recipients. Not very commendable in my opinion.
Here is a list of Good Charity's supposed "unique charitable relief funds" projects: (1) Children's Leukemia of America Fund; (2) Terminally Ill Children's Fund; (3) Americas Missing Children Fund; (4) Disaster Relief & Aid Fund; (5) The Autistic Society Fund; (6) Disabled Veterans Wheelchair Games; (7) National Breast Cancer Awareness Fund (now d/b/a (National) Breast Cancer Research & Awareness Fund); (8) Michigan Disabled & Paralyzed Veterans Fund; (9) Disabled & Paralyzed Veterans Fund. - MadCalled at 10:00 p.m. when I answered, all they did was heavy breathing. - fdsaf1. Only donate to the people you actually know and donate locally, not some made-up organization (or legitimate ones) because most of your money will be funding some fancy vacation or mansion somewhere. Why pay someone to donate your money? Donate yourself directly.
2. Get a call blocker. - Name hereThey called me asking for an Anna. I told them they had the wrong number, and they said "Maybe you can help me." When the recording started into the spiel, I just started saying no over and over. The recording said "Bless your heart" and hung up. By far the politest recording ever. Hahaha
- RrI just got this call stating they were from breast cancer research foundation. They sure pressure you to commit to an amount. If you ask questions about the foundation they will pretend to not hear you and ask you there question again. No thanks I hung up and good thing I did.

- Sylvia| 1 replyAlso robotic sounding caller. Even asked if I was speaking to a real person. They said everything had to be typed through a computer for quality control. Seeking breast cancer donations from a company I've never heard of and the website didn't jive with the name of the company. Call came from Houston and company is in California.

- Big DonMissed a call from this number today. They did not leave a message so I did search on Google for the number and found this page. I have blocked the number too.
- Jim in Michigan replies to SylviaI suspect the typing through a computer is a ploy to remove the "foreign" accents and replace it with a computer generated voice that sounds American. The foreign accents and boiler room backgrounds used to be a dead giveaway. The scamming continues. I wish the FTC would use some higher technology to shut the scammers down for good.
