This number has called me 2 times alone today (and it is only 1:00pm) and has called me non-stop for at least a week now. Never leaves a message. I picked up once and was immediately hung up on. Very annoying. I hate spam callers.

I got this call twice in a row, answering machine about calling this number back to get an alarm permit, which I have all ready.  I know they are marketers trying to get you to ditch your alarm company or something.

Just got two calls - back to back - on my cell from this number. Did not leave msg.

This number called me a whole week without leaving any messages.

City of Houston - calling about a permit...they left a VM

Calling stating that my property owes a late fee from 2014. Claims to be the City of Houston, but I know the City of Houston does not work like that.

getting calls saying i owe a balance for alarm permit... this is so wrong.. i am not a deadbeat , my father is a bill collector
so i know better.

They hang up as you answer

This is the number for the City of Houston Alarm Permit office. It is a robo call informing the person that there is a balance owed to the city (annual alarm permit fee). It will call even after you have paid and have a zero balance.

They called a friend of mine who does not have an alarm & lives in a village & not Houston.  Scammers

I got few calls in last 6 weeks and last one on Jun 9, at 7:13 pm. - I was out for a week during that time. They leave VM saying ..." This is from aPolice dept, .....we get to many false call to 911 from this number and I am miss using the system. Requesting to call 713-581-1740".. it is FALSE. If was the case then 911 should be calling back  or  police come knocking my door...that has never happened ...so this is SCAM.

Called, left no message.

This is a scam caller!!  They have called our business several times about our alarm system.  I called our alarm company and was told this is NOT from the City of Houston and that it is a scam to attempt to get you to switch alarm companies.

I have received numerous calls from (713) 581-7410 in the past saying I had made a false report to 911 and was subject to penalties. I blocked the number on my old phone and that worked until I bought a new phone a few months ago. Now, I started getting daily calls saying I was in violation of city ordnance regarding my home alarm system. Of course the voice message said I needed to call their office immediately to avoid legal action. I have never lived in Houston. Give me a break!!

Ignored the first call from this number. Pressed 1 on the second call. They asked for me by name and already had my address. The ONLY information requested was the email address on my account for identification. Turns out that this actually IS the Houston Police Alarm Administration reminding me to renew my alarm permit.  Their system apparently calls every permit holder as they acknowledged that my permit was already updated.
Of course, any number can spoofed and used for other purposes.
