I have gotten 3 calls in the last 2 days telling me it is a collect call from Twin Towers Correctional Facility. The call is from 713-981-0098 and tells me to call 866-230-7761. I don't know anyone in jail. The first 2 calls really shook me up. I called everyone I could think of to check on them because the calls don't say WHO they are from.

I've been getting calls from this number for a month. It says the call
is from joe in atmore.

my boyfriend got arrested and hadnt called me since then.i randomly got calls from him today in with a 713 area code. i have no clue what prison this is and i really need to know i live in Cali, and cant find him in the jails here. please let me know if you know what jail it is, thanks!!!

Got a call from 713-981-0098 tonight.I was told that it was from crossroads correctional facility.And I needed to prepay so I could talk to an inmate.I know of noone in Houston.

I got a call from that number today and it was from my friend in the Shelby correctional facility.

Completing this request will result in the forwarding of your telephone number to a number of the inmate´s choosing, and all calls to your true telephone number will be automatically forwarded to the new number without your knowledge. The only way to reverse the forwarding of calls to a new number is to dial *73.

I just got a call also mine came from Stanislaus County, which is nowhere newar Texas.

I had my cell phone locked and i couldn't receive any calls or msgs for 4 day.
Yesterday 12-21-09 i got my cell phone unlocked and received this number call like 5 times. first 2 times i didn't answer then the 3rd time i answered and it said it was an inmate and the name was just noise so then it said from where they were calling and then it told me to press 0 to answer and i pressed 0 and a man said "HALO" i just hung up... and then they kept calling me. and they left voice mails like i said my phone was locked i didnt know that number called me those days my phone was locked and i had like 10 voice mails from that number. umm.. like i answered the call will i have to pay cause i answered it? and i hope they don't keep calling me today.

I think it's SKAM.

Can someone tell me how to stop the calls!?
One here or there, fine, BUT 3-4 a day! Ridiculous! Can't even hear the name of inmate or who ever, and sometimes it's been a comment made instead of name; so it has to be a scam. Can it be stopped? or blocked?

i want to know too! I'm tired of they calling me!

I got a call from this number on Jan 7, 2010 at 1:11 pm pacific time saying it was a collect call from a Lock up center in CA.

I have received a call from this number stating that it's a penetentary and had a prerecorded name of our friend, it wanted us to give a credit card number to pay $25.00 deposit on a collect call ???

jUST GOT A COLLECT CALL SAID IT WAS FROM A CUSTODIAL INMATE AT WAYSIDE HONOR CAMP IN SANTA CLARITA, CA.  THE CALLER GAVE US A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL BACK WITH A BOOKING NUMBER AND SAID ASK FOR SGT. COX AT X 72.  THE PHONE NUMBER HE GAVE WAS NO GOOD, CALLED THE SHERIFFS DEPT. THEY SAID THE BOOKING NUMBER DID NOT EXIST. THE CALLER NEVER SAID WHO HE WAS CALLING FOR THAT REQUESTED THE CALL.  SHERIFFS DEPT SAYS IT IS A HOAX.

YES, CALL YOUR PHONE COMPANY AND TELL THEM IT IS A SCAM AND THEY CAN BLOCK THE CALLS

I got a call from this number stating it was a St. Louis prison. There are no big prisons around here just local jails. It was a collect call. Not sure why they called. But I don't want to find out.
