Caller said he was from law office and claimed that I owed money.  Said it was going to court tomorrow and I needed to pay so I don't get in more trouble.  I told him it was a scam and that he needed to stop calling.  He informed me that he would call whenever he wanted.

I received the same phone call from this number, and the caller said exactly the same things to me.. He was demanding that I verify my social security number and he mentioned the bank that I use...this is very unsettling for me. I want something done about this and this company or person, whomever it may be, to be investigated and stop stalking people.

I received this call as well, and when I hung up on them, they called back and that's when the 98232 number appeared on caller id.

I recieved the same call. He said he was from The Law Offices of American Credit Services & the name he gave was Jeff Marsh with a very thick accent. He said it was a time sensitive matter & good luck. He gave me a number to call him back at which was 714-333-2950 but on my caller id it came up as out of area

I just rec'd the same phone call.  I was told the same things and could not hear him either due to the back groud noise.  I do not know who this is but I have never heard of a sherriff that would pick you up and take you to a court hearing. I do not know what is going on either.

I received the same phone call this morning in regards to this. The person said he was Alex Johnson. He had a very thick Indian accent. There was so much noise in the background that I barely understood him.  I have gotten another call from a Robert Jones same accent, but from an 818 phone number. I think it is a scam. I just do not know how to fight this. They should not be calling people with this crap.

I received this same call and the police came and took my report because they called me at work.  The police officer took my report and actually called back while they were here and the man even threatened the police officer.  I was so scared.  I feel so much better that I know this is actually a scam.  I thought someone had gotten a loan in my name.

SHOULD I CHANGE MY ACCOUNT AT MY BANK, BECAUSE THEY READ ME MY ACCT NO AND ROUTING NO TO ME WHICH WAS RIGHT, BUT I DID NOT VERIFY WITH WHO EVER IT WAS THAT IT WAS RIGHT. I received a call from this number and the man said his name was Charles Green.  He said I owed them $5000.00 and if I didn't pay today I was going to jail on Monday for check fraud.  He keeps calling me several times a day.  I do not owe them any money.  It seems they should be held accountable for the stress they are putting on people.

I wonder who we can call to get this taken care of?

I called my bank and changed my account number.  I told them what was going on.  I went to the bank and they changed my account number within a matter of minutes.

Wow. I'm so glad i was able to find this website. Not to say that it solves the problem we are all having with this unknown number from Cali but it at least gives us all some breathing room. My story is pretty much the same. Indian voice, noisy background, without the knowledge to provide me with any info as to why i should take them serious. Unable to provide a case number, and etc. I got the call today from a 305-908-1654 but since i was giving them crap they told me to call this num. when i did the stories falls under the crap that they are a Law Firm....... Just to cover my butt i called all the 3 major credit agency n added a fraud alert.

I received the same call, threats, everything from this number and they had me so upset this morning (2/23/09) I had a terrible headache and I was really scared and they-Charles Green and David Walker-continue to call my job but I tell the person who is answering the telephone to put it in my voicemail. This is scary knowing they had all banking and SSN information and something should be done about this and they wanted me to pay $1,495.87 today and if not, when I got in front of the judge I would have to pay $5,484.87 and all my property in my house would be sold. They had a foreign accent and I really could not understand what they were saying and I told one of my co-workers that I was not about to have anyone come and arrest me in front of my daughter or at work and I was getting an attorney to find out if they could do this because I had never heard of their company before.

I received a call from this number at work and at home.  Both times the caller had an Indian accent with tons of background noise.  I tried to call back but it was busy.  I have been through this before and know that it is a scam, but I dont know what to do to stop it.  The last time it was a woman who called my b/f before I got home from work, telling him that the police were coming to get him b/c he owed wachovia bank money.  He was pissed.

Person called me at work and on the other line had heavy indian accent, spoke very agressively saying that I had comitted crimes and that was going to picked up by the sheriff for a court date that I was not aware of. I filed a police report, The calls stopped. Today I receive a new call from a new number and my receptionist took the call, the caller ID had this number 520-917-0050 which is the pharmacy number for Target, the lady that worked there stated that it was a scam and has been reported to the police.The person that left me the message stated being from a law firm and the name was G. Williams and asked to be called back at 714-333-2950.I called the number back and the man stated his name was David Walker, I asked him to verify what company he was with or firm he represented he refused to do so unless I gave him my name and I was not willing to do so. After stating to him that a reputable company would offer this information, he said he didn't care and that he woud be victimizing me to no end.

What did you do I called the Federal Trade commission and they said they had to have enough complaints to file a law suit and shut this company down.

This same guy, Dave Walker he says from an attorney office, calls me all the time at home and now at work.  Also says he will have me picked up at home.  HA!  Caller id at work was 98232, unknown id on my home phone.  He has my social security number and the name of a friend of mine.  Says one of my creditors is suing me, but the name of the creditor is someone I've never heard of.  I asked for his mailing address, he gave me 200 S. Anaheim Blvd. Anaheim, CA  which is the City Offices for Anaheim.  His call back number is (714) 333-2950.  When I called for the address he gave me the phoney address and then hung up.  YES THIS IS A SCAM!!!!

I have had the same proble for 3 months now I called the police reported it and it stopped for about a month now he is calling again from a differnt number 7143332950 Alex Johnson he left a voicemail I called back immediatly asked for alex johnson and told him I know this is a scam and he hung up everytime I get a call it is the same guy with a thick accent but uses differnt names like charles green or Daryl this is a scam and it is best if you report it as soon as possible because it is scary that they have this personal info. I got a call from the 714-333-2950 number at work today.  A message was left that threatened untold consequences if they did not hear from my attorney or me today.  When I called back, asking for Andrew Brown as directed in the message the exact same voice that had left the message told me to call back in 15 minutes.  I called back and through a terrible and noisy cell-phone like connection was asked to verify the last 4 digits of my social and was told several charges had been filed against me. I could not understand Mr. Brown... and was connected with a David Walker. Mr. Walker informed me that charges had been filed against me with court action scheduled for tomorrow.   When I asked what they charges were the connection became even more garbled.  I hung up saying I would have to call back another time.  Now I read that some people have been subject to repeated calls.  What can I do about this?  I do not want my workplace to have to tolerate the inconvenience of this type of call.  What are the laws related to this type of call or activity?    I am so grateful for those of you that have shared on this site.
