yep, me too.   HVAC company with a special offer.   telemarketer was a rude girl.  anyone catch the name of the place?  

Calls multiple times. Hangs up when answered by answering machine.  Yes I still have one of those.

I've had 2 calls this morning-7/01.  I don't pick up calls from numbers I don't recognize.  No message left.

JUST GOT A CALL FROM THEM, WHO EVER THEY ARE LOOKING FOR WILL GET THEIR AC CLEANED TOMORROW AT 9AM SURPRISE  LISA MOORE

Caller ID said "LA AIR". Husband answered and said hello twice before the girl said hello. He said, "What is this call regarding?" She said, "Wow sir, is that anyway to answer the phone?" He hung up on her.

I answered two calls from this number today for the second call a male only said hmm like he was speaking to someone in the background then the call was disconnected. I figure it's a sales call.

Got call too. Wonder where they get their numbers from as we do NOT have central air conditioning, and never have had it!

Really annoying for this kind of call that do not respond and when you call either no response or just for commercial promotion, anybody know how can we stop them? or report them?

Yes.
Those are two short questions, but they deserve extended answers.  Lots to read, below.

What options does one have to defend themselves against intrusive callers?

• The Do Not Call list (Federal or State)
Works, but is effective against ONLY "legitimate" telemarketers.  Political callers, surveys and some other callers are exempt.  Scammers ignore the DNC list.

• Nomorobo
A system offered by some telephone providers, to help automatically block robocalls.  Google "nomorobo" to see if it works with your phone provider.

• Shouting, screaming, swearing at the caller
Nope.  Does not stop calls.  May make you hoarse, and will disturb nearby people.

• Call blocker app, device or service
Could be a good choice (even though the scammers can use fake phone numbers), and some apps are free!

Your phone provider may also offer blocking services.  Check their web page for information.

If you cannot use any of the above defenses, then:
• Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service

• If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scammers" (or similar).  Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group.

Caller ID shows calling party as LA Air. Hung up when answering machine picked up.  Reverse number searches show number as landline in either Santa Ana or Orange CA (both in 714 area code). Others have reported this as sales pitch for air conditioning duct cleaning except that we DON'T HAVE central air, have never had central air, have lived in home over 40 years, and have never indicated any interested in such service anywhere.  On Federal Do Not Call list for years.
