The are mining for LIVE phone number. That is, phone # that are answered..... so.... if you see a call from an unknown person, DO NOT answer. If you do, you ph# will registered as a LIVE ph# and will be sold to telemarketer.....

Telemarketer trying to sell car warranties.  Hung up on them and blocked them

Dear Lord! They informed me that my car warranty was about to expire! Would have thought that had already happened since my car is 10 years old so I gave them my credit card number and now I am safe! Just kidding I hung up on the woman midsentence.

Got a call from this number on my unlisted, DoNotCall List registered phone. Called and hung up this time, but they called me a week or so ago and left a message. It is a company trying to sell you an extended car warranty. I believe they are somehow connected to your car dealer or auto insurance company.

Realistic sounding Robo Calling, at least at first. Then the pauses give it away. Managed to confuse "her" enough to get an echo, then she hung up after starting her pitch because I said no.
Easy enough to ignore unknown numbers when it's your personal phone, not so easy when it's a business phone.

These azzholes just wont give up trying to sell extended warranties, they have a quite a few numbers they call from, this is the 4th person who has tried to sell me bs

As others have mentioned, these azzhats are relentless.  They've been calling me for many many months from all different numbers trying to sell me extended warranty coverage on a car I haven't owned in many years.  It used to be a real person but now it is this pre recorded woman who responds to what you say.  I just hang up and block the numbers.

I find these calls especially annoying because I have a son who is a Marine.  He lives in California, so I answer from random/unknown CA phone numbers because it could be him...When he is deployed, calls from foreign countries are routed through numerous & varied states so that no one can tell where calls are coming from OR going to for everyone's safety.  Especially heartbreaking because those times when you are waiting to hear from your deployed Marine because it's been an unbearably looooooong time since you've heard from them & you get this BS.  I almost ignored the very first call from my deployed son because I didn't know the number - it just said "_____, TX".  Thanked God that I picked up at the last second...
